Omg, do you honestly just eat cheese on it's own? LOL!

I was craving Feta a few days ago so I thought I would eat a small portion, and I tell ya it made me feel so sick and I haven't eaten Feta since. I went out for lunch on Sunday though and I had a chicken & feta patty. It was delicious!

I had a chicken bacon sandwhich this morning with a processed slice of cheddar.

Oh Sam, where did it all go wrong???

Yes I can eat cheese, and only cheese, as its own meal.

I too can make my way very quickly through any cheese sampling... forget the crackers and meats!

(i am having a few crackers with mine now though)

i am currently gnawing my way through a block of cheddar!

Sara is on top of the monitor looking down at me wondering if she gets some... not quite. Back off cat!
The monitor made it room temperature faster.
Just tell Sara that "it's not kitty cheese!"
Okay that won't work.

My favorites are....

Colby and Monteray Jack (White and yellow cheddar together, I call cow cheese
)

Meunster cheese!! MMMM its so soft and good!!!

Mozzarella!

Nothing like String cheese! Mmmm fun to pull apart!

CHeese curds! Sometimes they are good cold, sometimes melted, but mostly at room temperature for the squeaking effect!

If by dry, dehydrated cheese, you mean the cheese that comes in the macaroni box, YES I LIKE THAT TOO. It is tasty!!!

I love most every cheese. As a rule I dont eat swiss just by itself, but it is great on a sandwich, otherwise it is to sour or something for me. I have tried limburger once. Grossest stuff ever. I dont like real stinky/moldy cheeses. Bleu cheese is gross. I like myself a nice strong sharp cheddar that you can just put in your mouth and suck on. It melts away like chocolate. But I live in wisconsin so thats normal for me even though it may sound weird to others. :O

Velveta is nice too. It can be used for making homemade macaroni, but I like to cut some of it up in chunks and add salsa to it, making my own cheesy salsa. YUM.

For treats/variety from time to time........... Limburger
Yuck! You call limburger a TREAT???? YOu have to REALLY love stinky, moldy old cheeses to be able to like limburger. I ate a tiny M&M sized peice once and I thought I was going to throw up.

There's also nothing like a simple processed individual sliced peice of cheese. Cats like it too. Lol. Mmm I am craving some nice sharp cheddar right now!!! But sadly we dont have any

I actually get really bad headaches if i eat too much cheese or certain varieties.

So i only eat mozarella on pizzas (the real white small round ones)
Gauda

Camembert and the different varieties of so? such as the one that has a green covering instead of white and the one with wood

A few weeks ago i bought camambert in the supermarket and ate it like a hamburger on the way home haha

Oh how I love cheese! It just doesn't like me! I'm so lactose intolerant I haven't been able to eat it for years! The last time I tried to indulge, the result was so horrible, I was reminded to never do that again! Oh, now I sure want some yummy cheese!

My favorite cheeses are cheddar, havarti, swiss, and provolone (however it's spelled)!

I'm fairly poor most of the time so the last time I was at the grocery store I picked up a nice block of sharp cheddar cheese and some triscuits and have made some delicious meals by melting the cheese over the triscuit. It's a college student special!

If cheese is melted on something though, pretty much anything, I'll go nuts for it. Melted cheese is the best.

I LOVE mozarella cheese melted and browned on a pizza! I love the hot jalapeno cheese melted into a dipping sauce
I always put that on tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and I dip tortilla chips in it. I don't like the stinky cheeses at all. I don't eat stuff that smells like gym socks

My favorites are Cotswald (a soft cheddary-like cheese with chives), cheddar with scallions and cheddar with mustard seed. Fresh mozzarella balls are also tops.

O my goodness, another cheesy thread...

How can I vote on that??????? It depends on what I'm in the mood for and there's no "all of the above" option.

Extremely sharp cheddar
Jarlsberg swiss
marinated mozzarella
gorganzola
Parmesian areggiano (spelling?)
Asagio

I found that asagio cheese is available in slices now. I took a breaded tilapia fillet (very inexpensive fish - thin fillets), layered asagio cheese and spinach on it, and then another tilapia fillet and baked it. Soooooo easy and good to serve for company!

Does anyone know where to get "washed curd cheese?" I remember it from 20-30 years ago and haven't seen it since. I think it was made by Hellavagood. It was sooooooo sharp it almost cut my tounge!
