If you have, how common is it? I live in an apartment and have seen my share of different insects around. As my Vet is trying to rule out what my cat might be reacting to...she mentioned a score of things, including spider bites. So today I vacuumed and found 1 average spider and about 5 tiny ones...so I'm just wondering what chance there is that they are the culprit. Obviously, there must be more spiders than what I found. Thanks.

I think it depend on your area and what types of spiders are prevalent? I know there are "common" spiders everywhere - YIKES - but I know different areas have some species that are deadlier than others.

I believe the majority of our spiders are harmless, but I just did some research on spiders and read that they may bite if they are caught in clothing. The result causes itching. So, if that is true, seems they could also get caught in our animals' fur and cause irritation. I am not taking chances, I am clearing the house of them as best I can. My cat is on prednisone for 2 weeks but we need to find the cause otherwise she will just be affected again. Thank you, everyone.
