What a friendly girl! I have only had such loving boys, she must be very special to be such a loving girl kitty. I thought her pic looked kind of black, too. I'm glad you clarified, because when I look closer I see the lovely chocolate color in her fur. Such a pretty girl, I am very sorry she had such a painful illness.
Purrs for Chloe, over the rainbow bridge. Condolences to her loved ones left behind!
I am sorry for your loss. I have been right where you are before, and I know how hard it is to say good-bye to one of you "kids", but know in your heart, you did the best thing for her, maybe not the best thing for us when this happens, and to know all of the love that you gave to her, and was given in return..
Poor Chloe. You aren't being selfish, either. Letting her go when she was hurting was the most unselfish act you could possibly do. She knew you were there with her. My heart goes out to you and your sweet angel.
awww sweet precious Chloe - play in peace now sweetheart and run healthly through the fields. No longer are you in any pain and know that someone here loves you with all her heart and misses you enormously... you will meet again....
Bless you, CTCat for loving Chloe enough to let her go; now she is at her reward, pain free and happy, waiting to meet you on the other side of RB! RIP, Chloe
CT, you are an angel to her and she is in peace now. You are a brave and kindhearted soul to care and grieve so deeply. She'll be with you in a different form, and you will feel her love all around you.
So sorry to hear of your loss, but it does sound like you did the best thing for Chloe, and managed to put your feelings to one side. When medication is no longer working, it is unfair to keep them going in pain. She was a very gorgeous cat.
Lots of tears came when I read how Chloe would share a moment with you with her eyes. It was the same way for me with Mingus; I know just what you mean. I really love my cat, George, and my new little Ella to pieces - they're both so friendly, sweet, and loveable - but neither of them do that. I'll always miss that about him.
I'm so sorry for your loss. You really did the best thing for Chloe, and she was able to go peacefully and happily, with you by her side.
