Hello All,

Phew, it's been a while but what with exams, then the holidays then back at school already (too soon!!
, I've only now just had the chance to check in here!

Sophie is doing great; she's growing like nobody's business, but still all kitten inside. I switched to that silica bead litter (I'd read somewhere that clay and clumping litter can cause lung disease in your cat!!
...well so far so good; she "christened" it right away! Fingers crossed no problems develop over the next few days...

Just wondering how that litter works. The beads absorb the liquid, but what about the solid waste? How often do you scoop, and how often do you just toss the whole thing and put in new litter?

According to the directions, you wait for solid waste to dehydrate before scooping it out,it says once a day on the package (depends how finicky your cat is I guess too), and throwing it away then you stir the beads. There are a little blue indicator beads which when they fade completely mean its time to change the litter; it's supposed to be a one month's supply; I'll keep you posted...
