My cat is a 7 yr old male. Every time I move, it seems like I go through the same thing. My cat will sit and sleep by the front door wanting to go in the hall. After enough of him meowing to go out there I've taken him out. He'll roll around and walk around looking everywhere and eventually I bring him back in and he'll be quiet. It just seems that this time its taking a lot lot longer and its a lot more annoying. Is there anything I can do to speed him stopping to want to go out there? I have a balcony and when we first got here, he was out there all the time. Now he prefers the door to the hall :/

Sophie does exactly the same to me!. I can be sitting on the computer in their room, or even watching t.v. downstairs and she'll cry outside my bedroom door wanting to be in, so i'll go and open the door for her

The best thing is when she goes in the bedroom she just has a quick stroll around then comes straight back out and then she's fine
