(p.s I love the storm pics...love a storm!!)

Anyway, John, as for Amber and Boris, I know you can handle them like a normal housecat inside the house as they were brought up with you, but as for Nakoma, can you pet him easily like the others? Are you ever worried he may bite the hand that feeds due to his new environment? Do you take any precautions with him or the others even?
Can you go close to them when they are eating?

And lastly, do you pick any of them up?
Oh yeah, right...Blame it in me cause my shoulders are wide...lol
It is a question I wished I had asked.

As for Nakoma, I have not made an attempt to pet him yet. For what he has gone though in his life, I want to leave it up to him, when he wants to let me touch him. Yes, I can go into his enclosure and walk right up to him. He will even greet me at the door when I am going to feed him. You talk to him, he wags his tail and gives you those " I love you eye blinks" that cats give. About him biting no, I am not worried. That is, I am not worried that he will come up to me and bite for no reason. For the most part, Bobcats would rather just walk away from you than fight, unless you corner them, they are frightened or scared and you leave them no route for escape. But, you will have plenty of warning before hand. As for the precautions yes, you need to understand Bobcat language. Same goes with domestic cats as well. You can learn a lot just by watching a cats body language. But when it comes to owning an exotic cat, you must fully understand what they are telling you. Also, when strangers or friends stop by for a visit, the Bobcats must be put in an area where others cannot come into contact with them, without one of us being with them 100% of the time. Since others don't understand what the Bobcat may be telling them, you cannot just let anyone come into contact with them unsupervised. Since Nakoma lives outside in an enclosure, we also have a perimeter fence around the enclosure that is 4 feet away from the enclosure's walls. That way, anyone who should not be on our property, can not put theit hands inside his enclosure. However, even if they did, Nakoma more than likely would just sit there looking at them. When they are eating, you can get near them, but they will growl at you, letting you know that what they are eating is theirs and you must leave them be. As for picking them up. They will let you when THEY want to let you pick them up. Amber has more of an attitude and would rather have you pet her than hold her. Boris, for the most part, does not care. But, once you pick him up, he will let you hold him for about a minute, then it is time to let him go. Of course, he is getting QUITE large and getting pretty heavy, so a minute is about all you can do anyway. Boris would rather jump up on your back and put his rear end on your head and let his tail hang in your face
Let me tell ya, that gives your back one heck of a workout
Males tend to have a much more friendly personality than the females. But, the males are much larger.

I have more storm pictures. About a week ago, our very hot and humid weather came to an end, but not without mother nature treating us to some very good storms once again. These storms did produce some weak tornados. My wife was home alone while I was at work and managed to get these pictures. This storm produced a classic "tornado hook echo" on the weather radar. What this means is, there was heavy rotation within the thunderstorm. This storm also produced a classic wall cloud that is a precursor to tornado formation. However, this storm never produced a tornado and if it did, this house may not have been here now. This storm and it's wall cloud was right on top of us. Enjoy the picture sequence

Once again, the skies grow dark.

It begins to appear.

The wall cloud is getting closer

Out of the southwest it approaches

This is one dark wall cloud
