strange wake up calls?

recently bonnie has started to wake me up in the morning, she will use her paws and kind of rub my arm or paddle it, i wake up a bit and see her towering over me through half opened eyes, if i close them again she will repeat it until i get up and feed her

she never used to do this and at first i thought she was just being cute but she does it every morning until i get up!

pandy doesn't wake me but lays on my pillow until i get up, anassa will sometimes give me licks to wake me, i think i prefer bonnie's method

i wonder why she does it? she's a very bossy cat sometimes.

does anyone elses cat have an odd way to wake them in the morning?

My current lot don't wake me. But Bonnie's method is sure familiar -- that's what Shasta [RB] used to do to begin "Breakfast Patrol". She often began before 5 in the morning, which was a little much

cats do some funny things, five is a bit early though, it just goes to show, we really are their slaves

Lucky for us, their food bowl is always full otherwise I'm sure Ophelia would start waking us at about 4:00 a.m.

Trent does sometimes wake me up for snuggles and loves in the middle of the night. He's very cute about it. He comes up and does little mews and if that doesn't work, he will gently poke his nose on my face until I wake up. Of course I can't say no to that!

Yay for another Vancouverite!!

cj will wake me up at 530 to play fetch with him. He will drop a plastic body spray lid or hairspray lid by my hand and touch my arm until i through it for him. I have gotten good at playing this game without opening my eyes. Although sometimes when he loses his lid or decides i need to be awake he will bite my underarm fat! it hurts!!!

i keep my door shut a tnight unless im lonely and need a furry to comfort me, and i did the other night. Brandy left and about 2 or 3 am baby comes in and starts kneeding my back... i love back rubs but not at that hour!

if i shut my bedroom door pandy would jump at it and cry until i let her in, she actually hits the door knob, she knows that's how i open the door but she doesn't know how to use it her self, so she hits it with her paw and rattles it. pandy sleeps next to me every night without fail and doesn't get up until i do

bonnie doesn't usually sleep on the bed, she does sometimes but usually she will sit on the catnip cushion in front of the heater, i turn the heater on in our room cos it's winter at the moment and she sleeps there, then in the morning she gets on the bed to wake me up

anassa sleeps on the end of the bed or on her pillow near the heater, in the morning she's always snuggled between my husband and i, a few times iv'e woken up to warm licks and she actually had her arm around me like she was cuddling me, she's an odd one but very loveable

Sophie gives my arm 3-4 pats with her paw, awwwwwwwwww

She's got kibbles to nibble on and Rosie to play with, but i think she just wants me to get up!

aaawww tha'ts really cute!! Greebo used to creep into my bed under the duvet (from the bottom end) and when she got to my feet, she'd lick my toes til I got up but she was always cute. Sprocket would just attack whichever part of my body he could see.

Max stands on my chest and purrs til I wake up and give him a cuddle, Alfie will sit on my hair and suck on it until I get up and give him some cat milk. The time varies, but usually about 4am and each hour thereafter! I only get up at about 6.30, the other times they get a quick cuddle and told to go away til morning, I'm hoping that eventually they'll realise that there's no point in waking me til it's time to get up

Scooter will pull out my earplug and SCREAM in my ear. It is a very disconcerting way to wake up. Fred taught him to steal the earplug, he added the acream on his own. I liked it so much better when Fred wold grab the earplug and purr in my ear while stickhg his cold little nose in it.

Muahahahaha you sound like you've got some REAL characters on your hands! Thankfully the only time I have to put up with any noise is when we cat-sit bf's mum's two Burmese (which I'm also allergic to ) I can't imagine waking up to a cat screaming in my ear!!
