New Cat

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the website and decided to see if anyone else can help me with questions I have about my cat. I've had him for over 14 years and he's still really active. But he has to be the most affectionate cat I've ever seen, he follows me everywhere, he gives me baths every night no matter how many times I try to get him to stop, laying directly under me no matter what I'm doing. I not saying I don't love all the attention, but it seems the older he has gotten the more affectionate he is. He is jealous of my husband and acts like he can't stand him and I wonder does anyone else cat do this?

maybe have a look in the behaviour section of the forum and post your question in there - I am sure you will find alot of members are in the similar situation

Thanks for making me feel so welcome! I love hearing about everyone's kitty/kitties. Now I don't feel so crazy when I talk about my cat.

my sisters cat does that all night long and wont let you sleep tho he's only around 7 or 8 montht old

My cat Michael is like that too! He always has to be the center of my attention. He gets jealous of my boyfriend and my other cats. When he sees my playing or petting the other cats he sits and stares at them with a mean look on his face. Whenever he sees me spending time with my boyfriend he jumps up by us and tries to steal my attention away.

Wow, it's great that your cat is getting on and still that healthy and happy. I really hope my kitties live forever and are always happy and healthy!
