Do they act differently after you fix them? are they more calm, distrustining, hiding or what?

I cannot honestly say I noted any particular change in behaviour except that there are no more heat cycles so she dies not suffer and if you have a tom cat, you will not likely experience any more spraying. They will be happy healthy cats in the end.

Most of the time I've noticed that males tend to calm down a bit, but I've seen cats that's personalities never change. All depends on the animal.

I actually found my boy to be more calm and more loving after neutering. There are many health benefits to spaying/neutering.

My cat was 7 months old when she was spayed, and I have never heard of this happening but she had some minor complications, and has never been the same after that (3.5 years ago). She wasn't as loving as she had been. Apparently she'd had some cysts on her ovaries and then she got a bad cough from being in one position for so long; her behavior change happened at the same time.

They hate the vet!
Just kidding! No changes except for the obvious - no "sex" drives.
