Matted Hair

I have a inside only long hair cat who recently has started to have matted hair in different spots. What do you do about this?

Do you groom your cat daily? If not, are the mats too bad now to groom out? It may be necessary to take the cat to a professional groomer to have the mats shaved off.

Daily grooming is good for long-haired cats. Helps to prevent mats and hairballs. And most cats like it.
