So they turned off the cable last night in the middle of the night..for no reason mind you. we Auto pay our bill everymonth. well..call today to find out, oh you requested it be turned off. No i didnt...oh well you said you were moving..no i am not. the people BELOW me are.

Oh well we show that you are..yada yada. I said well frankly i know i am not. They are, so turn my cable back on.

Well after a lengthy arguement, they say they have to come back out and install it AGAIN..which means another INSTALL FEE.. when lets also mention how long it took them to get us set up the first time..

we called before we moved in, to get it scheduled in Sept they said they showed it as a single residence. Its a duplex..well it wasnt until MAY that they finally got it listed as a duplex! Than we had to schedule three times for them to even come out and do it! GRR...I am SO MAD if i wasnt to tired and have so many other things to do I would be yapping at a manager but i dont have time to sit on hold. I sure will be yapping at a manager once i get my other stuff done tho!

I swear we would be moving to Satilette if it wasnt to crummy that when you sneezed it went out

and they sure as heck arent getting the money from me. they are gonna turn it on..and i want it BEFORE August 3rd!! Steves gone for the whole week and I have no Cable! GRRRRR i had shows on animal planet to watch. *mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad mad*

This is NOT a good week..

I can sympathise with you but my beef is with the internet. Since I am deaf and require high speed cable for my videophone and one day I am home from work and this guy turns up to disconnect the cable - I am like :censor::censor::censor:???? Said that I had not been paying!!! So I pulled up the file online as we use autopay and show him the proof that we have been paying. Sure enough, he leaves us alone and we think all is well.
Then One day we come home from work and theres no internet or videophone so I call the cable company and find out - they said we requested it be taken off - excuse me, we need it so we never asked to take it off! How dumb are they???? They put it back on and give us some credit.
I think they should give you some credit since it was their mistake! You can request it!!

Switch to DirectTv. Ours has NEVER went out and we've had it for years. Even when we lived in the mountains in WV and the weather was bad, we never lost a signal. Difficult cable companies are EXACTLY why I switched from cable and digital cable

Poor darling! You are definately not having a great week.

I love DirecTV - when we moved to Ohio we tried to get it again - but unfortunately since we live in the middle of "Sherwood Forest" we can't get a signal through all the trees.

Personally I think they are all way overpriced. They want $35 to $100+ per month depending on package and I gotta put up with commercials. Not me! I just quit watching TV. 95 percent of it is unmitigated crap anyway. I do miss the other 5 percent but not enough to cough up so much money. Fortuneatly for me I live in the middle of a WiFi hotspot so a $40 WiFi card for the PC and I'm set. Well Till they encrypt the signals anyway.

Oh yeah.. and the "deals" really get you too. 40 bucks a month for cable (we dont have direct TV but we did have that other one thats cable and I can never remember its name) anyways... so somehow the bill got up to 130 dollars a month! And we were like... screw that! So mom killed the cable and I havent had tv for about a month, nor have we had gas either. But as long as I have my 26,000 kbps or whatever a second dial up connnection and electricity I am happy. Seven dollars a month for dial up! Its slow as freaking heck but it works!!!

Grrr thats really stupid, they shouldnt cut off your cable and make you pay a fee to get it installed again!

I hope they come to your door with wine and flower petals and bow at your feet while they give you free instalation and super duper extra special free television or something. Or at least credit!

We've got Dish Network, and there is no deal that Comcast Cable can offer that would possibly lure us back! They could give it to us free and I still wouldn't go back. We LOVE our Dish! Very rarely do we lose our signal. Besides perhaps momentary glitches if there is a REALLY bad storm (like the sky is black!), the only realy time I remember it going out is when it snowed like 5 feet of the wet, heavy snow and it would build up on the dish itself. Cable went out in our area too, though, and unlike cable, we just had to go outside and wipe off the dish to get ours back. Those with cable had to wait over 24 hours for Comcast to get out and repair the switching station or whatever.

We get the local cable company, which is Shaw, and some days they're good, some days they suck. Lately, over the past few months, the internet has been getting really slow before dying completely (as soon as a page gets slow, you know that it's going to say "Page Cannot Be Displayed" soon). If we're lucky, the internet will be back up in a few minutes, but if you're having a bad week, it'll take a whole day. TV seems to be okay, though, it's just the internet.

Mom once forgot to pay Shaw once and they cut the cable (TV and internet) but they put it right back up when she and dad went over there to pay. So I suppose they aren't that bad.

Really? It goes out? Ours has only went out like 3 times in 4 years. We mainly got it so my husband can get the Sunday NFL ticket
. I'm really pleased with our service thus far, though.

I second that! We've had DTV since September and even in Chicago snow, rain, crazy wind we've never had signal problems. Plus we have a DTV Tivo which can record two programs at once, even when we're watching something else. Sooo exciting!
