Is it cooling down elsewhere too?

It's finally better here in SF bay area. I was so drained the last two days. but today is better. You know it's hot when you water plants and 4 hours later they are wilted and dried up.

not really, I am about 45 minutes north of Sacramento. It has been taking longer in the early afternoon for it to heat up, but it is still getting to about 105deg and staying there till almost 8pm

Winter cant come soon enough!

I think I am going to move to the arctic!

Yes it is! We're only supposed to get up to 89 today and then tomorrow the high is supposed to be 71!!!! Absolutely loving it after 3 weeks of 90+, and last week of almost solid 100+ temps.

Just 2 weeks ago we went from a whopping 30 degrees and it just got cooler from last week.

I had my fleece on on sunday because it was that chilly!

It's 100 + here right now, but Wednesday its only supposed to be 76!! It's been so freaking hot here I wouldn't let Brent mow the lawn for fear he'd have heat stroke.

The heat index was up to 110 today...60% humidity! And the humidity has come DOWn....

I really feel for the people where it's still hot, it can feel never ending.
I really felt ill yesterday, and nothing seemed to help.

I live in Santa Rosa ( small world!) and it's much cooler....finally! I hope it continues for a bit!

I wish..still hot and humid here.

My area of SoCal is still Quite A Bit Warm.

its so hot here - it hasnt been that warm here lately as it has rained every bloody day and so the heat is very welcome. only negative aspect is that I get sapped whenever I go swimming!

I think the US should go to Celsius. It 40C sounds better than 104F. When it gets that hot, psychological help is needed. And 15C sounds like freezing. Actually, it is much cooler here today 82F (27C).

Still disgusting here too. Close to 100 degrees F. Looking ahead in the week, the Weather Channel says 73 for a high Wednesday? I think I'm seeing things!

Well, it was about 100 AGAIN, with the index hitting 106!!!! Unfortunately, this is normal for us around here, and August is even hotter, usually..yuc.

It's really too much. Today it was 34 so we didn't do any of the thing we needed to do. I was going to paint the baseboard and trim before we put them up but it was just too hot to paint out on the deck. We ended up going to my best friend's house and hanging by the pool and had a BBQ. Good way to start our vacation.

If the heat doesn't break soon, I don't know if I can bear it. Between the hot flashes and the temperature I'm very, very uncomfortable.

I am ready to move to Alaska. lol Or the desert; at least there you don't have the humidity! lol Appalachia has some of the highest humidity in the US, with the exception of the southern Atlantic coastline.
Humans evolved on the savanah, for goodness sake! We weren't made for this humid crap!

I LIKE the idea of going to Celsius...it sounds so much cooler when it's hot!
