OK, this is driving me batty!!!
Why is that the internet is working perfectly when I can't get on the computer...that is when my niece or nephew is on it, which is all day mostly!
Then when I finally have a chance to get on the internet goes flooey! It'll work ok when I get on for the first 10 seconds, then it just freezes up or moves soooo sloooowly that I give up, or it doesn't let me get onto any site at all!!! It wouldn't bug me so much if it didn't work perfectly for everyone else.

It's moving very slow now so hopefully this post might go through!

Ok, I feel a little better now that I got to write that!!

Know how you feel!

Actually I've been told it's a "traffic" issue.
More online, slower speed.

Do your nieces and nephews open alot of programs that are still running in the background when you log on??

My daughter uses Messenger, media players, music file sharing, etc, etc, etc,...doesn't close them and this is when I encounter problems...as you don't notice them running all the time..

When your time comes, shut down the computer and restart it. That way - all the programs the kids have been using are not running and slowing you down. You could also take some stuff out of the Start menu so they do not slow down the memory right at the beginning.

Just a thought!

Clean out the unwanted cookies in you browser too. Computers can drive a person crazy sometimes.

Thanks for the suggestions and advice everyone!

My older nephew is the computer whiz, I know next to nothing about them
Anyway when the internet acts up he checks all of the stuff mentioned and it's usually a problem with the internet provider. One of my younger nephews friends lives around the corner from us and when we're having these issues with the internet, they are also having the same problem.Once in a while it's the router though.

Thanks again!
