How much noise (meowing) does your cat make when delivering?

My kitty should be delivering sometime next week. She is a very "verbal" cat, which is why we liked her so much and as a stray, brought her in.

She Meow's constantly! Every time she's pet, or wants attention. Even the vet commented "gee you're noisy"

Sooooo, do cats usually "cry" during delivery? I saw a post that a momma cat delivered middle of the night, and was super quiet!

Care to share your experience or have any ideas? (Can you tell I'm very excited about this impending delivery?!?!)

I think it totally depends on each cat, and there's no real yardstick to go by. My mom cat was a quiet cat, and was exceptionally quiet during delivery, only making a small sound when each kitten actually made the final push out. Since delivering, though, she's become quite the talker! However, I think that's because my cat was feral and very new to my home at first. As she gets more comfortable, she's finding her voice.

Even though your cat is a talker, she may not be talkative when delivering. Hard to really know.

We have had a few cats that have been very loud on delievery but the majority are super quite and just purr.

Rusty Jones, who had her only litter of kittens just before I gave birth to my first child cried alot during labor and delivery. It really scared me, because I knew I was getting ready to give birth to something a LOT bigger than a kitten!

Miss Kitty was quiet, but purred when I checked in on her. Sugartoes was pretty quiet, too.

Lexus didn't make a sound until she was finished delivering. Then she opened her mouth and "peeped" a couple of times. Until the babies were older and she had to round 'em up for feedings, she really didn't meow at all which is horribly unusual for a Siamese.
