What brand of food do you feed your cats?

I just made the switch to Innova last month from Cat Chow Indoor. Gandalf is a really picky eater and I went through several cat foods before I found one that he would eat besides Cat Chow. He really likes the Innova and his coat has never looked or felt better so I'm really please. Now if I could just find a store here in town that sells Innova that doesn't sell pets. The store I get it from currently sells dogs which I don't like. Selling pets just seems wrong at least in a retail setting. I have another couple of stores to check out though so maybe I'll get lucky.

two eating raw and two eating NB canned or wellness canned. working on those canned food eaters, so far i have gotten one of the picky cats to eat some raw foods. so thats 4 out of 6 carnivores in my house eating raw... someday i hope to have a commercial petfood-free house!

I have been feeding my cats Wysong Vitality dry for one year. Their coats are soft, shiny, and they are doing well on it. My only dislike is the stinky poop. I had been debating about trying Natural Balance dry and decided last week that I will try it for comparison purposes. I had bought a sample of it several months ago and my cats liked it.

I have been feeding Innova lite dry cat food for about 2 years. Ever since Nitosha was diagnoised with CRF about 2 years ago. I believe this has helped her a lot since we just started her on fluids 3 weeks ago! My other 2 babies, Boston and Tar, coats are shiny and oh so beautiful!!!!!!!!

Now that I finally understand more about cat food, I threw away the rest of the cat chow I had and went out to buy some Innova to try. I ended up buying the Evo one, not sure if Lucas like it yet, though he did eat it up once I put it on his bowl (mixed with a bit of the cat chow to prevent his stomach from getting upset, of course). Boy, was that Innova expensive! Paid $19.99 for a 6 pounds bag, argh! I wanted to try the chicken soup as well, however they didn't have the adult cat on stock, so I'll get it next time.

In regards to wet food, Lucas LOVES the pouches, so I have some of literally every brand out there, and I switch them around everyday. I spoil my baby, I give him loads of variety...

i feed Sensible Choice Adult Chicken Meal & Rice dry. it must agree with them because everyone says their coats are beautiful.
they have shiney, soft coats...and they really love the taste of that kibble too.

they also get (for canned) Fancy Feast, Pro Plan, Meow Mix pouches (just sometimes), Friskies pouches (also not so often anymore), Authority, & 1 flavor of Nutro Natural that they like. i also recently discovered they like Iams chicken so i have added that to the canned rotation, as it is better than the friskies/meow mix pouches.

I have been feeding the Eukanuba Indoor Cat formula. All 7 of our cats like it and it keeps their coats nice and shiny and dandruff-free. Also the incedence of them puking seems far less when feeding this food. I tried to switch to Meow Mix Indoor Formula a few weeks ago because it was cheaper, and there was puke all over the place. So we will stick with the Eukanuba Indoor formula.

Every night they share one pouch of the Iam's wet food. If I give them two pouches to share Tinkles gorges himself and throws up.

I'm feeding California Natural (as I already said), but I'm going to buy Innova tomorrow. Buffy's doing great on Cal Natural (shiny, soft coat, though I can't tell with her poop smells since I can't catch her pooping in the box and therefore can't smell it). I want to see if Willow can do better, since, while she's soft as silk, her coat isn't as shiny as Buffy's. My plan is to try Innova, then Innova EVO, then Wellness, and of the 4 brands, whichever one I had the best results with is the one I'll put Buffy and Willow back on. Though it's possible that a food that Willow does great on won't be so great for Buffy, so I'll end up with 2 brands.

Our cats free feed on dry food throughout the day, lately it's two bowls with their choice of Nutro Natural Choice Weight Management or Authority Lamb. Every morning they split a pouch of Nutro Natural Choice, alternating all the adult flavors. In the afternoon they might get another pouch of Nutro or maybe some canned Authority. We also rotate in some Friskies dry or canned about once a week (every creature should have the chance to have the equivalent of a big sloppy cheeseburger once in a while!
) In deference to our sponsors here we might try some Royal Canin soon, but so far we have a combination that all our cats can agree on.

I voted Iams/Eukanuba, since the loves the Iams canned food(we are having issues with textures, and she won't touch anything that has any chunks in it, only the pate consistency). She gets those, and Fancy feast(sometimes), she also has dry food out all the time to nibble if she wants to, and I mix eukanuba and Purina cat chow(her fav). I got the eukanuba because we had hairball issues, so I got the hairball formula or whatever it's called, and it seems to be helping.

Currently our cat eats Nutro Natural Choice Indoor Formula dry food. However, I'm looking to possibly switch her food. She got a huge hairball and she's never had problems with hairballs in the past. I previously fed her the C & R's Sensible Choice but she grew out of it or something as she quit eating it thus my reason for switching to Nutro. Her breeder recommended Eukanuba Hairball formula but the ingredients IMO are inferior to the Nutro and Chicken Soup for the Soul (which I am considering). So, for now I am introducing canned food to supplement the dry and she picks at them at best. I've tried: Merrick's "Southern Delight", California Natural's "Deep Water Fish", Wellness' "Sardines, Shrimp & Crab" and Nutro Max Cat's "Salmon & Whitefish". I've stuck with the fish varieties because she loves (human) canned tuna which we treat her with maybe once a week, if that. The chicken or turkey ones she won't eat. Our pet store discontinued the Solid Gold canned lined due to low sales so the above brands are what I have to choose from.
Any ideas?

If you can get it .. royal canin sensible choice makes canned , not sure of the flavor but ingrediants are good and my older cat liked it... as for the hairballs , you need the simplier Nutro reg natural choice likely... I dont think chn soup makes a hairball or simple formula... Can you get natural balence??

Have you tried the wet pouches? Lucas won't touch the canned pate stuff, but he loves the pouches (finish them off in seconds!). Since she likes the canned tuna (which is not the pate consistency) she might enjoy the bits and pieces that the pouches offer.

I'll check the regular Nutro. Chicken Soup told me that they add cellulose (which they said is a fiber) to their food and that aids in the prevention of hairballs. Though their bag doesn't make any claims about hairball control so I will have to check it out.. Yes, I can get Natural Balance (that is what our dog is on). I've compared the Chicken Soup line and the Natural Balance line at the food wizard and they are very similar.
