Strange tongue sound...

lately i have noticed my male cat makes a strange noise from his mouth. i cant tell what he is doing, but Im pretty sure he is scrapping the roof of his mouth with his tongue. his tongue lookes normal and teeth look fine too. is this normal? im thinking there is hair stuck somewhere?

Hmmmm....can't picture what it is your cat is doing. I'd think if there was hair stuck in his throat he would be gagging. I suppose if this is something new, and if it keeps up, you want to see a vet. And definitely see a vet right away if there's any trouble breathing or swallowing.

Is it like a lip smacking sound?

Our clinic cat make this loud clicking/lip smacking sound when he eats. We have checked him over and could not find anything wrong.
