Reintroducing my cats

Okay...it has been about 3 weeks now and my cats still hate each other. They were best friends for 2 years and then one day they started fighting. Sophie hisses at Emma every time she sees her. Sophie has now started hissing at me whenever I go anywhere near her. I think she hates me because I toss her into the bathroom everytime she hisses at Emma (it said to do that on another post).

I took her to the vet and he found nothing wrong with her. I bought Feliway and have almost gone through the entire bottle and it doesn't seem like it is doing anything. What else could I do?

Should I reintroduce my cats? Would that work? How do I do that?

Please help me. I am trying to be patient but I just about had it!

I think if it's been going on this long you do need to reintroduce your cats. You would go about it the same way you introduce a new cat. One cat should be isolated. You could switch off which cat is isolated and which cat has the run of the house, so long as they at no time are able to see the other. Then just proceed the same way you introduce a new cat. Good luck!!

And when you allow them to meet again give them lots of treats when they are together. Then they will associate each other with nice things. Due to various reasons I have now reintrocuced my cats three times and treats always work really well.
If I understood correctly you have been using the sprayable Feliway. If so you might try the Feliway plug-in. I have been using it and my cats do seem to be a lot calmer with it. The spray wears off quickly so the effect isn't constant as it has to be to calm them down.
Good luck!
