I have 2 strictly indoor cats. this morning when i went to feed them, near their food bowl on the wall was a browish, small, oval, flat and i think it was moving - thing. i know the description is the worst but its the best i can do. i was totally grossed out by it and sprayed it with Clorox spray before removing it off the wall and it was dried out. I dont know if it came from the behind of one of the cats while they were eating, but i know it wasnt there the night before. I saved it and its dry and flat and brown (dried out)

Does anyone have a clue as to what im talking about or what it could be ??

but if it's a concern, you can bring your kitties in for a fecal/worm check.

Oh give me a break! You don't need to measure it- if it looked like a piece of brown or white rice it is a tapeworm. If it looked like a piece of spaghetti it was a roundworm. if it looked like a small worm with brown tips on the legs it was a flea larvae. Your cat needs to be seen by a vet to get the proper medication to get rid of the parasite.

Alisa - if it's light brown and about the size of a grain of rice, and doesn't have any legs, it's probably a tapeworm segment. Please don't panic....it's not that serious, mostly just gross.
You just need to contact a vet to get the appropriate deworming medication prescribed. Don't use over-the-counter dewormer, as they're not very effective. The best way to make sure the vet gives you the correct medication is to collect and give to the vet a fresh sample of your cat's stool. You can put it in a plastic baggy or clean jar. This can easily wait until Monday -- no need to go to an emergency clinic. And don't worry, if it's the kind of tapeworm cats most commonly get, it can't be transmitted to humans.
