...for my window tinting!!! I remember the day it was put on so clearly. My husband (at that time boyfriend) had just come home and wanted to do it. I remember the guy telling him about legal limits yada yada yada get me out of this booring car place. I do remember telling him that he could do whatever he wanted because it was his car and he'd be the one taking it for inspections and things. So now it's a few years later. DH is not home and the tags expire at the end of the month. I couldn't remember for the life of me what percentage the tinting was, just that it was the lightest they offerd. But it failed so I guess it's too dark. Basically what I was told is that I should have nothing on the window unelss it's factory tinted or I have a doctors waiver.

So any advice on removing window tinting? Should I try to do it myself or is it worth paying someone. At this hour there are no places open to call for estimates so I've left some messages.

...ummm... oh, yah,
well, at least they were clever enough to marry ladies like us who can get a job done!

Here's a toast to all the wives of the world who handle the little problems of life for their hubbies & children...

O-H-I-O!
Trav said spray windex on it, find an edge that you can start picking at. You can use a hairdryer or just pick at it. You can use windex or water to make it easier. If you find an edge, it should just peel off. Did you get it done professionally or did your hubby do it himself? If all else fails, take razorblade and cut a line around the windows to make an edge yourself.

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the advice! We did have it professionally done. It's so hot out here I really don't want to spend a lot of time with it. One of the places I called for an estimate last night called back and they only charge $15 to take it off and they can do it this afternoon! I will take it back there and then see how much putting it back on will cost. I'm so relieved I don't have to do it myself now!
