Why is it that some things in life are made so much more unnecessarily difficult than they need to be??

What made me think of it was this - every day I get into the lift to go to the floor of the hospital that I work on. And nearly every day I need to hold the doors open for someone. Instead of sticking my arm out (a girl I work with broke two fingers recently doing that) I go to push the `open doors' button.

Now why, oh why, do they need to be those annoying little hieroglyphic symbols that take you a couple of minutes to work out? Why can't they just say `Open doors' and `Close doors'??

And whats up with those candies like the chewy ones... they are put into a HALF peice of aluminum foil that doesnt cover the top half, and then they put it into a plastic wrapper and twist the ends! Whats the point of that???????? Ok its not that big of a deal but still....

O_O WHY DO THEY PUT THE HALF PEICE OF SHINY FOIL AROUND THE CANDY??????

Its a question that bothers me a lot I suppose.

And why dont they sell apple flavored soda in the northern U.S???
I miss it from my trip to mexico, its all I drank. its like carbonated apple juice. Mm.. I'll have to go buy some plain carbonated water and put some apple juice concentrate in it to appease myself.. or I could go find a "real" mexican restaraunt I suppose. THe one my spanish teacher and her husband owns sells them...

The lifts tend not to say open and close bacuse there are people who are severely Dyslexic or can't read, so they would be a bit stuck!

I have never had a problem with the lift buttons, as i've been using them ALL my life!

One thing I have wondered for a long time is, why do photocopiers consistently, continually and reliably break down every time it is essential that they work??

Its quite easy to make... i like it self made instead of already made in bottles unless its LIFT apple.

Just put in desired apple juice and fill it with fizzy water

We had a dummy that wanted all the street signs to be in Braille. That is 2 scary thoughts, 1st that we have that many blind drivers and 2nd isnt traffic slow enuf with out the blind drivers getting out to read the signs? Makes me wonder if her family tree forks anywhere?

Erm, it's because the numbering system refers to the hardness of the lead
. A #1 is the softest, and it gets harder from there. The #1, although great for drawing, is too soft for constant use as a writing implement, you'd be sharpening the thing every two minutes.

Why is it that you can be absolutely completely CERTAIN that you do NOT need to go to the toilet, and you run a bath, and the moment you are in it and submersed and blissfully happy you realise you are actually busting??
