A cat needs some loving from someone in that area. The cat seems to be peeing on the floor, and despite her owner's best efforts, she won't stop. The owner is not able to afford extensive testing, Feliway, and the like, so is now facing either a rescue or PTS. I've asked her to give me a bit of time to find someone in that area to help out.

The cat is 2 1/2 years old female, seems fine otherwise, and might have been reacting to some changes in the household.

Thanks, all!

Best-
Michele

Thanks - I hadn't checked there. I will today, and see what I can dig up. The cat is just a sweetheart, but pees (and the owner, honestly, hasn't been doing too much to stop it; I think it can be easily handled with some time and care...)

I will look today, but if anyone knows of anyone who can help I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!
Noni

Just found out that Trixie (the cat's name) is declawed, and 1/2 Siamese. I've gotten in touch with the TX Siamese Rescue, hoping they'll have room for her.

Please keep your fingers crossed, and if anyone can help, I'd sure appreciate it. This is my first "long distance" rescue, and I have no idea what else to do.

Thanks-
Michele

Wow I hope that works out for you. I understand TX Siamese Rescue to be a wonderful group. All live in foster homes where behavior is worked on to make them wonderful companions, while receiving the medical attention they need. She doesn't have to be a pure breed, half is fine, and some of the cats they have aren't Siamese at all, but "honorary meezers" who deserve a chance to find a forever home. Please keep us updated on what happens with her. It would be horrible for a litter box issue to prevent her from finding a home. One of the experienced foster homes is just what she needs for a second chance.

And that is exactly the thought I had when I wrote them. I haven't had a response yet, but considering I contacted them less than an hour ago, I'm not surprised. LOL!!!

I really hope Trixie will be accepted to them; they seem like such a great group, and I think she will do well there. A little bit of time and attention and she should overcome her box issue no problems...it's not as if she's biting, and hurting people. Just peeing occasionally in the wrong place.

Fingers, toes crossed, and hair braided....I'd love to post that it's gotten resolved in a good way.

Michele

Michele - sorry I am a little to far away to help lol but I wanted to send my thoughts to you with this good deed you are doing. Considering everything else you have on your plate, your still thinking of others - your an amazing person.

Looking forward to updates - I have my fingers & toes crossed for Trixie
