So I conducted a test here in my home about Kitty Litter..

I used Tidy cats clay
Tidy Cats Scoop
WBCL
and Yesterdays news

Each of these have at one time or another been used in the house so the kittys were familar with all of them.

Well as suspected the clay was stinky...and honestly the kitties dont really like useing it anymore...so we of course know we wont be useing that dusty stinky stuff anymore.

The scoopable, covered odor better than the clay yes, but it as always was very dusty. and didnt cover odors as good as i felt it should. Some of my kitties wouldnt use it. the others thought it was WONDERFULL...TO TOSS IT ALL OVER!

WBCL: Clumps really well, I didnt have any trouble with sticking to the bottom. The thing I didnt like was the corn smell. Blecky, two of the kittens tried to eat it, and everyone else pretty much ignored it. Loki was the only one who used it. And it did cover smells pretty well, with its own odor. There is pretty much no dust which is a plus.heh.

Yesterdays News: I have been useing this and was happy with it but i wanted to see if my kids agreed. well they do. They used the Yesterdays News more than the others, and it covers odors great as long as you keep it scooped. Little tracking, and little dust

So those are my findings, lol

I use the arm & hammer scoopable, but when Lucas got neutered, the vet told me to use Yesterday News for a week, changing the litter with new litter everyday. I couldn't wait for the week to be over as I thought it did a very bad job covering up the smell (urine not too bad, but #2? Yuck the whole place stunk up!). It was weird to scoop things out too so I had to get a scooper with wider gaps...

Yup we had to get a scoop with bigger slats. but it works good. I find the poo smell isnt to bad. Sure intially it is, but...isnt it always? than it goes away. I scoop once, two twice a day though. I would use another litter if I found it better.......but i guess the kids approve of this one, LOL and so do i.

I'm lucky that Lucas will pee and poop on anything I put on his litter box! He is definitely not picky about it, considering he started with Arm & Hammer, than a week later got Yesterday News, than back to Arm & Hammer but on a covered box instead, and he hasn't complained.

He has a lot to say about his wet food though, so I'm stuck with the expensive pouches! (He refuses to touch canned food, go figure! Too bad I only found out about it after a Costco shopping spree...)
