As I posted in another thread last week, I am unsure if a part siamese (or purebred with a coat fault - he has classic bullseye markings on his side) is lost or just lonely.

He showed up again last night..meowing for attention at my husband when he came home from work, we fed him on our back deck and left it at that. He is beginning to feel a bit bloated, but his coat is soft and clean, his weight is good..he's just a young whole male, very much a talker and a lover who seems to have taken to me.

This morning he appeared at my backdeck window screen, crying to come in. I've fed him, but as DH and I were talking, we know we can not take him in, not even temporarily. We can not afford at the moment, to take him to our vet and have him boarded while we look for his home (if he has one, they are foolish to let him run so, he obviously considers himself an indoor-cat and a people-cat).

Is there anyone here who works for a no-kill group in the Puget Sound area? Or anyone who could foster him while we place a "found" ad etc?

This is breaking my heart...he is SO gorgeous, SO outgoing, so Siamese!

He is, and he will entertain someone royally, as he's very loving, and very talkative. I've called two no kill groups (one a shelter, one works with a foster home network) and if we can not get him in there, we have an angel who for now I think may want to remain anonymous, that we can take him to for eventual placement.

He's currently curled up under a bench on my deck snoozing. I don't think he left our backyard all night.

He does sound Siamese - a talker and a people talk. What about Siamese Rescue. They take cats from all over the world and I am sure the meezer express would get (ie transport) him to the cloest Siamese center in northern Calif. There may be other purebred and meezer rescues in Washington tho? I have a cousin who loves Siamese in Port Angeles (It's a family thing- we love meezers, lol).

We are going to blanket the area with a flyer, and if no one responds by our apt. on Saturday, we were lucky enough to have a no-kill shelter agree to take him for placement. Their concern was that he be adoptable..and boy is he! He was just sweet talking me on my back deck, rolling all over my feet.

He sounds so cute! I wish I could get another kitty. My two kitties are so low energy, and an energitic kitty would be nice.

But Scaredy's vet bills make it impossible.

Unless I hear from an owner by late tomorrow morning, we are very fortunate to have a no-kill shelter willing to take Veclro (because he shadows your legs rubbing up agains them) (if he passes his vet exam). We have an apt. for him tomorrow afternoon. If this goes through, I will post where he's at for adoption as anyone in the WA state area would blessed to own this boy.

He is incredibly loving, and handsome, and talkative! He just wants "in" and for some steady attention.

now...I have to see if they will also take the same age male with white paws (a blue point with in-betweeny coat) who is showing up to snitch some of Velcro's meals. I will begin posting flyers about him, after Velcro is settled.

How wonderful! Do you have a pict I can send my cousin? She is a retired (tho young at 55) teacher whose husband recently died of cancer (a very quick lymphoma - the same one that Jackie Kennedy died of if you followed her case) - they had to make arduous ferry rides into Seattle for his chemo, it was horrible!! Anyway, she has 2 Siamese now - Seal Point - and loves the breed. She used to have a Boa Constructor but it died last month - a long life, tho I think snakes live quite long. She does have a couple bunnies too.

I will have dh crop a photo for me to post and post it when I can also post that he's in the shelter and available. I don't think he'll be available for very long

Whew! After sleeping on his towel on our back deck all night, "Velcro" was gone this morning. I was so relieved when he showed up for his breakfast. He is in a carrier, eating his breakfast and not making a peep! We head off to this special no kill shelter in a couple of hours.

How great that you found a place where Velcro can find a new home. To bad you couldn't keep him! And I hope you have luck with the other meezer cat!

We took Velcro to the no-kill shelter today and they went nuts over him...the vet came out to see us and said that she doesn't think he's a Siamese at all, but instead, a Snow Marble Bengal...and one expensive kitty. No microchip was found, but they are going to check out Bengal breeders in this state, to see if one has lost or has had a pet owner reporting a lost one.

He SO charmed everyone there he could have been adopted twice over before we left - truly. Such a love, I miss hearing his voice already.

I know he will be fine now, not hit by a car, not starving, no upcoming fights because of hormones (he was whole).

I will post a photo of him later.

THANK YOU Pat for asking me if I wanted him and I have just got home tonight from riding my bike around the valley asking everyone I know, and I come back to your great update. Homeward Pet in Woodinville, in our State, is a classy place for kitties. I know one of the Board members and this is the best place he could be if not in a foster home. I have no doubt he will be happier and safe. Bless you for doing so much!

Did he look like the cat in a picture?

Hey he's a special cat who deserves a special home. Not because of color/pattern or being a particular breed...he could have been any color or pattern with this personality, and I'd see him as special, and love him as I fell in love with "Velcro".

Thank you for the reassurance. This was my first time visiting this shelter and I was extremely impressed. It is a wonderful facility.

Too bad you couldn't keep him.

I am glad you found a place for him Pat. Mike gave me a really dirty look after I got off the phone with you the other day and I told him I agreed to take this cat if you couldn't find a home for him-
He sounds beautiful, and valuable- I bet someone is heartsick about him missing-
