Daily Thread 7/20/05

Ok I bit delayed, sorry!

My day: I drove down to my new school to find out that I am (drum roll please) going to be a Pre-K teacher.

I think it'll be hard because I'll be with kids who don't know how to behave in a school environment, but I have nice teachers that will be helping me and teachers aides, etc.

Then I got to work, after getting stuck in the effects of Hurricane Emily (we got some of the bands which equaled VERY heavy rain, the point that I could barely see in front of me).

And now I relax, especially b/c I don't work Thursday, Friday or Saturday (Saturday I have class). Yay!

Anyone else?

I think that's WONDERFUL!! You'll get the sweet little impressionable children and be able to teach them all sorts of wonderful behaviors like sharing, caring, respect for others, respect for self, etc. That's just GREAT!

Ok umm....today my boss spent most of the day teching me how to do progress reports. I also got to sit in on an intake meeting and a progress report. (my boss has to move to take care of her mother...my entire office has been in tears all week!) Then I graded work like a mad woman and ran for home! Basically since then I've been reading...finished a book I just started last night. It was ok...but I doubt I'd read it again. But I finished it so I guess that is good. So pretty booring I guess. But oh well, it could have been worse!

In the morning, I went to get a copy of Animal Scene. Well, my picture was published in the July issue of the magazine.

The animal group - CARA (Compassion and Responsibility for Animals) Philippines, of which I am a member will have a page in the magazine for a whole year. Four of us were at the signing of the agreement and our group photo was printed. I'm having trouble accessing their website so I can't share my grand moment with you.

At home, Wawa chased off a beautiful grey and white tabby. It looked healthy. I hope it wasn't an abandoned pet. Wawa is so stubborn. I kept on calling him to leave the kitty alone but he made sure it got out of the property. After that he wanted a kiss from QT who was busy chasing a bug.

Late afternoon, had "merienda" with my best friends - Anna and Junie. We had Chinese dimsum.

My favorites were spicy squid and spinach.
Nothing much after that. But I had to be home by 9 to watch CSI Las Vegas.

got up... went shopping for hubby... came home....

stayed home...

watched a movie with hubby and ate left overs.

I can't wait to start my new job lol

Hi Ari!

I must apoligise for my late reply in the Daily Thread. I have been very busy today and I didn't have much time for TCS.

I got home very late last night and I didn't get any sleep because I was talking to my friend Brock on the phone.

I was on TCS for about an hour and then I got dressed for the day and went to meet my friends Sarah & Samuel at North City. We went to the movies, had lunch, hung around for awhile and then had dinner.

I'm going to relax on the internet for the next 40 minutes and then I'm going to go watch TV a bit and then get a much needed sleep.
