Hi there,

I have a quiery, might sound a bit strange to you at first but here goes.
My kitty (Amber) stayed out all night a few days ago after escaping through the window I searched for her until 5:30 in the morning until I found her a brought her in.
She doesn't usually go out as she finds shes both safer and happier indoors (indoor cat).
I can't help but get frustrated since though because literally every 20 seconds she is meowing.
Its driving the whole family insaine, we are not getting any sleep and i've tried to get her to go out again to see if that is the problem and she doesn't want too. There are a few cats in the area that have all been neutered although I know thats going to stop them trying to mate, but I would say shes already done that!.

Any ideas?????

Sounds like she is in heat if she is not fixed she will do that until she is. Some females meow a little and some will drive you crazy!
If not fixed I would get her fixed as soon as you can.
Good Luck!

So is she not spayed and you are letting her outside?? Why would you do that! That is just irresponsible. If she is over 5 months she can still get pregnantif a male finds her. They can induce heat to get pregnant. So don't let her outside until she has been spayed!! I would do it ASAP!!

Cats are "induced ovulators" which means that they do not need to be in estrus to become pregnant. While mating won't bring on an estrus cycle, it will allow the ovum (eggs) to be released and possible fertilized.

Keeping your kitty indoors at all times until she is spayed will prevent an unwanted pregnancy.

In fairness, the OP said the cat escaped, not that she let it out on purpose.

Excuse me but I have just lost a litter of kittens, she got outside looking for her sister whilst she was at the vets. so we are not irresponsible and i would kindly ask you not to jump at people before you know the facts.

Shes just over a year and a half now, the vet had her in over night with her sister after we found her, who has just lost her litter. She has done some tests and a type of scan to make sure she is not pregnant, she also gave her something??? not sure what though.
