Geez! I'm so sorry about that.
Luckily I haven't moved out yet, but my family is pretty bad.
Can't you complain about them, or something?

I dont have a worst roommate story, but when we were stationed at Sheppard AFB, we lived in the apts. right off base and our first neighbors were awesome! we are still good friends!

but they got sent to Germany, and a new couple moved in right away... they were on the opposite shift as my husband, so they were up ALL night and they would have the loudest parties all into the night(mind you hubby had to be at work by 0430). And i got up to take him to work.

But they would be out on the porch(which we shared) drunk, banging into walls, and the door(even trying to get in my door). I called the cops once, since most of the people there were underage drinkers AND millitary.

Even when they wernt partying, the girl would have the stereo on super loud, vibrating the walls at night while she was up doing stuff waiting for her hubby to come home(i was constantly telling them to turn stuff down and shut-up)
I finally one night had enough, I went over, opened her door(which was already cracked open) and told her to please turn her damn stereo down we are trying to sleep.

We got stationed here a week later(thank god)
I am so glad I am in a house now... but it is going to suck when i go home and i have to get another apartment... people are annoying!

Yeah no kidding. That would drive me nuts too. The middle of the week is not good for partying.

After we lost our family house to bankruptcy, I moved into my friends place temporarily. My bed was in their dining room right by the front door. Not too bad, I was surprised. I started not liking it very much and started looking for a room to rent. This was 1995 when rooms were going for about $450-500/month in Orange County, CA. Now you would be lucky to find a closet to rent for that much! Anyway, I found a master bedroom over a store in an outdoor shopping mall for $450/month. My roommate had the bedrom next to me. He was quiet and all that, but he was a Jehovahs Witness. We kept to ourselves, but he would use my pots and pans and such. One time, I went out of my room to get something from the kitchen and he was smoking crack with a friend in the living room!! Thankfully, my sister moved back in with her boyfriend (now husband) and I asked my mom if I could move in...she said yes to me and my Whisky, even though she has allergies.

Never again, will I have a roommate that I don't know.

As a matter of fact, I'm moving into my aunt's basement down in the mountains of So. California. She is my mom's twin sister! I'm doing it to finish school and then move back up here...

One of my roommates (who is also my nephew-slash-best-friend) drives me nuts! I love him to death but he pees on the toilet seat, on the floor around the toilet, he likes using the bathroom in the dark (when you get out of bed the bright light does hurt the eyes but give me a break! At least lift up the seat that I have to sit on). He also likes to blast his music at what seems to be all the wrong times (2 am and I hear Celine Dion
).

But overall, it could be a lot worse

Thankfully never really had any problems, although the 18 year old daughter of my neighbour downstairs does drive me batty sometimes. Why, when she drives into the car park at 2am, she needs to have the stereo on full blast I have no idea! And why do all doors need to be slammed??? Why does the washing machine need to go on at 10pm when the wife is home all day?? Mostly it's absolutely fine, but these things do make me mad sometimes when I'm tired!

I lived with my Dad for years and although I love him to bits I couldn't live with him again! He's going slightly deaf so the tv would be on sooo loud that I could hear it perfectly from my bedroom, and he'd fall asleep in front of it so it would be going til 2am some nights. Other general things that living with a 50+ year old bloke entail!

It's funny you should ask, cos I have not heard them since! They are both still there, but maybe they have not had the time or it's been too hot?

I didn't end up having that word either.... Anyway, I am hoping they move soon cos their year contract is nearly up. Where I live there is a massive turnaround in tenants to.

I used to have neighbours in our rented townhouse who would play loud rock music. I was 8 months pregnant and hot and probably a bit grouchy too.

Anyway, one night I got mad - I set my speakers right up against our shared wall and put on some opera music and set the volume very loud. I figured if they wanted me to listen to their music, the least they could do was listen to mine.

After that, the volume of their music went down. I never had to say a word to them.

Let's see...I've had 3 roommates since starting school and 3 'worst roommates' stories. Maybe it's me?....

Anyway, roommate #1 was basically a fundamentalist Christian, and one of th emost close-minded people I had ever met. She would take down my 'Save Roe' and 'No War' and 'Us Out of ____' posters and stickers (and a ton others) and tell me that I was going to hell on a regular basis. It certainly goes without saying that I wasn't alloowed to even have boys in the room, boyfriends or not. My best friend is gay and she would routinely give Cyndi (my best friend) lectures on how she could 'cure' herself of homosexuality, but wouldn't go to close for fear that she would, and I'm not making this up, catch the infernal disease. Add all this to the fact that she snored, had smelly food, wasnt exactly neat and criticized all of my decorating.

Roommate #2, who shared a room with Roommate #1 and I, well, we were in love with the same guy. Enough said.

Roommate #3, the one I just got done with, acted like a total baby. Her life consisted of sitting on the couch, having her partner basically live with us, not EVER cleaning up after herself and whining about how the world was out to get her and how nothing that went wrong in her life was her fault. She was lazy, lazy, LAZY! Laziness and wallowing in self-pity are two of my great pet-peeves in life, so this didn't work out. I'm also not a big fan of living in my own filth and there were just food boxes EVERYWHERE unless I cleaned up after her

I had so many bad experiences with roommates in college. I think the worst were the 2 girls I lived with sophmore year. They were "friends" from high school (actually, they weren't very nice to me in high school, but I thought they matured during our freshman year in college....ha, was I wrong). They basically ganged up on me and never included me in anything (which wasn't a biggie b/c I had my own group of awesome friends then anyway).
But they would have these massive parties. Sometimes they'd tell me in advance and my friends would come over and it was cool. Sometimes, though, they'd have these spur-of-the-moment parties without telling me. I'd be sound asleep (I always had 8am classes) and then I'd hear the stereo thudding outside my door.
Sometimes, if they were feeling particularly spiteful, I'd wake up the next morning to see that they'd scratched up my CDs. They would even break into my bedroom (I'd lock it if I were out of town b/c I did NOT trust them) if I went away for the weekend. Evil, horrible witches they were!

Yep, I hear ya there on Roommate #3! Mine was also VERY moody...would be in a great mood one minute and then not talk to me for a couple weeks and I had no idea what had happened. Very odd individual. She would borrow my things without asking...and when I asked for them back, she'd make ME feel bad. It was very emotional draining...and she NEVER cleaned...EVER! The last straw was when I told her about this house I was going to go look at...she had an appointment to look at the very next day. Talk about backstabbing!!!

Oh, and she freaked Cody out...that's always a good sign as to whether the person was nice or not...if Cody didn't like her, beware!
