I sign in and put the color to green eyes and make sure it says STAY signed in, but each time I come here I have to sign in again.

Is this because I switched to FireFox?

Check your cookie settings. If it's set to clear cookies at the end of every session, then basically your browser "forgets" between times. I usually keep my browser up all day with a tab on TCS ... I don't really spend 15 hours a day on TCS
, so I don't have this problem.

Go to the top to Tools, down to "Options" and check the tab under "Cookies." Mine is set to clear at the ends of the sessions, but I suspect what you want is to check "until they expire."

I will be interested to see if this fixes the problem.

WEll I think ONE Of the problems is I seem to have BOTH IE and Firefox! It used to just say options and now I get internet options and can only delete cookies.

I am signed on this time so I guess I will have to wait and see.

Wish I knew how to get rid of Ie! I did the add/delete programs but it won't delete it!

You don't really need to delete IE, just make sure that Firefox is your default browser, so that anything that calls a browser, gets Firefox, and the only time IE is called is if you do so deliberately. There will be a checkbox somewhere in your preferences in Firefox -- I don't use Firefox, so I can't tell you precisely where to look, but it will be there somewhere.

You can't delete IE. Think of who makes it
. The best we could do was to get it off the desktop. Although presumably there is a way to do it, but from what I understand it takes someone with a pretty good bit of experience as the thing is in your system like some sort of tentacled Cthulu monster with bits all over the place.

You can delete IE but you have to have special software to do it. Once you have the software it is pretty easily done. But really there is no reason to delete IE. As someone else said, just make sure that firefox is chosen as your default browser. another thing that could be signing you out is security settings and /or firewall settings.

Also, do you have the 'Remember me' box checked when you sign in? If not, you get logged off when you leave the site and close the browser.

Actually I don't want FIREFOX! When I had it I could NOT format my yahoo mail! I could not change fonts or use colors. I HAVE to keep it as I cannot seem to use IE without it but at least I am back with IE and now have no trouble keeping signed in here!

Thanks for your help!
