I feel like a bad meowmy today.

Long story, but here goes:

One of our friends is in the process of moving, so he was staying with us for the past 2 days while he was in between apartments. We went out last night with him and a few other friends, and hubby had to work in the morning, so hubby and I went home at a semi-reasonable hour, and our friend had a key to get into the apartment so we could just go home and go to sleep. I came home, and got ready for bed. Our guest room and guest bathroom are attached by a small hallway, and there's a french door you can shut to block off both rooms from the living room. I figured I'd round up the cats before I went to bed and shut the french door so that when our friend came home later he wouldn't have to be herding cats. Emma was under the guest bed, and shooed her out, and when I went into the guest room I had seen Oliver in his bed in the living room, sound asleep. I shooed Emma out and closed the french door behind me, and I could've sworn I saw Oliver still in his bed in the living room, but I was dead tired and it was late.
A few hours later, I woke up to hear Oliver howling somewhere in the house--sometimes he does this in the middle of the night just for attention, but I figured I'd better get up and check it out.

Turns out mister Oliver was locked into the guest bathroom

And, poor little baby had had to use the bathroom, so he had made a #1 in the sink and a #2 on the floor. Poor baby seemed more embarrassed about it than mad! I cleaned it up and then went to bed, and he doesn't seem traumatized at all today, but I still feel like a bad meowmy

My husband thinks I'm rediculous, but figured maybe if I posted here I might feel better getting it off my chest
I gave him extra brushies this morning to try to make up for it!

Awwww, that's okay
, kitties can just be so fast sometimes, and there's something about a door opening/closing that's like a magnet. I'm sure he'll be just fine, and it's really not your fault. These things happen.

Mithril was locked in the linen closet in the bathroom last week for I don't know how long ... I swear I only had that door open a sec and literally seconds before that he'd been in the other end of the house! Until sometime later I had to use the loo and saw this little grey paw poking out from under the door ...

Oh..i hate that bad meowmy feeling. When lucky was smaller she loved to pounce on the doors when they were opening and closing. One time she pounced on the side by the hinge when it was closing and I closed it on her paw. She forgave and forgot long before i did!

Poor Olly - Mika asked if you could give him a big hug and some little kisses from her.
