I planed on having my new mama cat that adopted me and gave me four beautiful babies, spayed when the babies where eight weeks old but NeuterScooter will be in my town when the babies are seven weeks old.Is it ok the get her spayed then?

Also she had one baby girl Can she be spayed at seven weeks
? The other three are Boys and I think they should wait till they are six months .

This is my personal opinion:

1. "Yes" to mamacat being spayed when kittens are seven weeks.
2. "If possible" to kittens being S/N'd at seven weeks.

I'd consider taking all of the kittens to the "Neuter Scooter" and asking if they will perform S/N on any of them. The age of seven weeks is not the holdup (some people's guidelines say six weeks is the bare minimum), but just making sure the kitten has grown enough. A kitten who weighs more than 2 lbs will get the green light to go ahead from most progressive vet clinics. And the mobile S/N clinics that go through my area are all progressive, but your circumstances might vary.

Thanks for taking care of this stray girl and thanks for working to get her (and her litter) S/N'd.

Momma cat can definately be spayed. I would contact the Neuter Scooter and ask how young they can perform spays/neuters to see if you can also get the kittens fixed.

u are in a similar situation as far as a momma adopting me and giving me four beautiful babies...from what the vet told me was the momma can be spayed as long as all the babies are fully weaned
now on the other qs i do not know exactly but as others have mentioned , it wouldnt hurt to ask

IMO, I wouldn't spay the baby kitten yet. I just don't think it's right to, yet... she won't go into heat until she is about 4-6 months, so... that's my opinion.

Definitely to mamacat and most likely to the babies as well.
Its dependent on weight, not age...

Thanks for taking them in and being so responsible with their care

Agian I want to thank EVERYONE for your help and opinions
The mama will be spayed ASAP at the neuterscooter.I worked for a vet and he does not agree on S/N babies. The more I look into this I think I will wait till the babies are older .
You people are great thank you so much

So long as all of the kittens are eating on their own consistantly, it is OK to go ahead and get Momma spayed. As for the kittens, I think 7 weeks is too early so if you MUST get early spay/neuter, I would suggest waiting until they are about 12 to 16 weeks old and have had all of their kittens shots before you take them out of your house.
