cat stress?

My cat has been acting totally weird lately including one evening where she just sat in the hallway meowing. I also just found a phantom poop in my office (same room as litter box though). I am getting ready to move so there are boxes and stuff everywhere - do you think this might account for her odd behavior? I've never had any issues like this before.

Any suggestions on how to minimize her stress during the move?

You're right, moving is very stressful for cats. Preserving her territory as she's used to it for as long as possible would help. Can you perhaps stack all the packed boxes in one room, so the rest of her territory is closer to "normal?"
