Deuce(4 month old as yet un-neutered male) always scratches the floor around his water dish before he drinks. He doesn't do it to the food dish or after he drinks, just before. He sort of straddles the dish with his front paws and looks kind of like a Bull getting ready to charge.
I thought maybe it was something his mom did when she was trying to take care of her babies after they were dumped off to fend for themselves, but I have Deuce's sister Gypsy and she doesn't do that. I might add, though, that Gypsy does love water, she likes to splash it out of her dish and skid around in it and always dunks her furry mice in her water dish before shes plays with them.
Any insights on Deuce's behavior (or Gypsys for that matter
)??
