I love stories like this, so just wanted to share it. Last week one of my neighbors (a dog person) was driving home from work when he saw a tiny creature on the concrete barrier along the side of the expressway. As he got closer, he realized it was a kitten. Dodging traffic, he crossed one lane, slowed, rolled down his window and pulled the terrified kitten into his car. He immediately took her to the family vet who determined that, other than a few abrasions, the 10 week old little girl was fine. Based on her injuries, the vet guessed the kitten had been thrown from another car. My neighbor took the kitten home planning to find someone to adopt her, but he, his wife and daughter have fallen in love with the little tabby, now named Peanut. They are gradually introducing her to Rose, their golden retriever and report that the kitten loves being held and attacks their toes in the middle of the night. They're even thinking about getting another kitten as a playmate for Peanut.
