My little angel has taken to climbing the flyscreens in the apartment, THIS CANNOT HAPPEN.
Its a rental and I CANNOT afford to replace them.
I've tried flicking her nails from the opposite side and hissing at her, telling her "bad girl" and giving the screen a good rattle, but she gets so insistant that she needs to go outside.
She is strictly an indoor cat until she is spayed at least, so she only ever goes out on a leash.

HELP

We are moving to a refurbished apartment in October and I need to put a quick stop to this behaivour

She's doing what some kittens do i'm afraid.

What about one of those cat trees that a lot of people have for them to climb all over?.

She's bored and needs to be kept amused.

I don't know if they're available where you are, but if so, you can try Soft Paws. They're rubber nail caps you glue over your cat's claws. Front claws, at least. We use them for our oldest cat, Ace. He didn't care for them at first, but he doesn't mind them now. Plus he looks so cute with "painted toenails."
(They come in several colors—or clear.)

I agree, she is doing what kittens do... but to reassure you, Guinness used to climb all over the place - up curtains, through horizontal blinds (work his reasons for doing that out
) and even on top of the window frames... He's coming up 2 yrs old now and I would say in the past year, he has almost grown out of it. So I would imagine that she will grow out of it soon. As said above, it might be an idea to give her something else to climb and avert her attention too as well.

Good luck

Thanksguys,

she's going thru a real spazzy faze at the moment and is driving everyone nuts.
Especially in the mornings after her brekky, DH is trying to study and she's everywhere, paper, pencil, exposed waist, everything is attacked.
She has plenty of toys so no excuse there.
She just seems to have too much energy and an extreme desire to get outside, you gotta get out that front door quickly.
I put on an old gardening glove today for her to "kill" and she went for it until she lay there panting, completely ignored the ungloved hand.
I presume this crazy behavior is normal for a 3 month old kitten?

My two are nearly three months old and are going through the exact same phase, except they have each other to chase so I don't get the brunt of it!
