We awoke Friday morning to screams from Kess, who was under the bed. I called him out & He came out dragging his hind legs & screaming in pain. I rushed him to the vet & found out he had a blood clot & he was dying. We spent our last moments with him before we put the little guy to sleep, He wasn't even 2 yet. I miss him soo much, It feels so empty. I had taken pictures of him doing what he does best the night before he passed, Thank Goodness... He seemed like he was doing very well then, such a tragedy, We had high hopes for him. He will be missed dearly. I feel soo sorry for Jillian, she is still searching for him.

So sorry to hear of your loss, it is harder when they are young and it is unexpected.

I am very sorry for your loss, Dawnde, Jillian, and family. What a tragedy to lose such a young boy. He had a short life, but it was sweet in knowing that he was truly loved. Condolences!

I'm so sorry for your loss of Kess, especially at such a young age. He was very beautiful too. I'm sure you filled his short life with all the love in the world. It's the best any of us humans can ever do.

I'm sorry that you lost Kess. So young and so suddenly. You were definitely robbed. The same kind of blood clot took our 6yr old McCoy's hind legs and his life last month. You must be in shock. My thoughts are with you, Thomas

I had just had him to the vet a week before & the vet said he had a #1 grade heart murmur But didn't do any ultrasound, & told me he was fine & it was common for cats.
He had Cardiomyopothy. I hope this helps someone if their vet hears a murmur, If caught in time it can be helped. I keep going through the shoulda coulda woulda if's....It's soo hard to loose a pet so unexpected. We have visited him often, Bless his heart. Jillian is expecting in a few weeks & i'm afraid it's taking a toll on her as well, We don't leave her much & try to keep her busy with cuddles, She has been a great comfort. Thanks again everyone for your support, Dawnde & Family
