I have finally found a group of people that I think I can connect with! There is a quirky sense of humor, as well as a love for those feline creatures... Those which I have a habit of "collecting."
Now mind you, this is a town of 500 people in which houses get stuck in the mud (trailers, not to put them down, just that they actually get stuck in the mud while trying to place them here) and tire swings made of bike tires, (yes, I said bike tires.) And where cats and dogs both are totally dispensable. It's very sad really, because owner of animals here do not seem to have a sense of duty to their pet at all.
Because of this I have taken in many strays, much to my husband's dismay. He claims to hate all these strays, but I will catch him loving on them when he thinks I am not looking. It is almost as if it emasculates him if I catch him!
One of my recent (and most beautiful, loveable cats) is a pregnant girl I named Gracie. I have not had a pregnant cat since I was a child, so I am making sure I know the best way to care for her during this time.
She is HUGE! She's a very small cat by nature, and I hope she is old enough to take care of her litter.
If anyone could offer me any advice on when to expect kittens or what the signs may be, I would be very grateful. She is an adorable cat that sticks right by my side throughout this, and I want to make sure that I can help her as much as I can.
Cat lovers are awesome! Thank you!
