holy cow! It's only 10:30 and it's already been a crazy day!

They delivered the entertainment center at 8:15. It was too big to go upstairs (it's like 8 feet tall and 4 feel wide) and at that point I wanted to sit down and cry. I had them put it in our living room. It took 3 burly men to move it.

After they left the SO and I decided to take the entertainment armoire from our living room upstairs, as it is much smaller (probably 6 feet high and 3 1/2 feet wide) so we had to take the tv/vcr out and wrestle the b***h upstairs. So all is well but now I have an enormous armoire downstairs with multiple shelves for the 20 inch tv & vcr that we keep in the living room, and the much smaller armoir upstairs for the 27" tv, vhs, dvd, playstation 2. didn't work out as I had envisioned
but it's not the end of the world. I still have a beautiful peice of furniture that will last forever. I really am proud to own such a unique peice even if I can't put it where it belongs and would do the most good.

I'm just glad that it's all over with and now I can concentrate on putting everything in it's rightful place. The SO was so wonderful through the whole thing when I wanted to fall apart. I was so upset that I had paid a lot of money for something that is so ungainly and I couldn't even use the way I wanted. I should have measured and known it was going to be too big. Oh well, I'm trying to be positive because ultimately I did get what I wanted and that was an entertainment center in the bedroom.

I hope everyone elses day goes much more seamlessly!

Our day started out pretty quiet. Did the usual Saturday morning cleaning and straightening up. Then headed out into the brrrrrrrrrr cold to run to the bank and to pick up my son's asthma meds. And now, I am home for the day!!!!! YAY!! I love staying in on Saturdays, and just doing nothing. Maybe a little cooking or baking and folding laundry, but nothing too strenuous!!!

Cymone and Sunshine seem to be adjusting to each other. They have supervision at all times they are together, but there haven't been any fights at all. I think Sunshine is not used to other cats, where as Cymone was around a lot of other ones at the shelter. She wants to play w/ Sunshine, but Sunshine wants nothing of it. They just basically ignore each other the whole time they are together. OH well, at least the fur isn't flying.

Happy Saturday to you all!

Beeper calls -coffee with my sister and niece and then off to take the garbage. Haven't started the housework yet -but need to get up and at 'em now for that chore! YUK! Spending all day Saturday cleaning is not my idea of fun, but a necessary evil. Friends coming over tonight to play cards. Will enjoy that! Cats are all zonked out for their mid-moring nap - wait till I get the old noise monster out! They sure do scoot away then!

Have a good Saturday everyone!

Hi everyone!!

I have missed reading the board, but am getting back to it gradually.
My father-in-law is better, but there is still a long road to go. And the outcome is not known. Probably a nursing home.

Recently, my back went out on me, (this happens sometimes), so today I am going to take it quiet. Wet heat and rest. Maybe a bit of excercise. Hubby is going to the hospital today.

I am going to try and catch up on some of the postings here.

Geeeee don't I have an exciting life!!

Debra, you are not kidding!! We just gave Dani her weekly torture treatment, cleaning out ears, clipping nails, and rubbing a moisturizing liquid on her coat, which the Vet gave us. I rewarded her for my guilt  with lots of chicken flavored treats.

Then she lay on my chest, I know she is thinking..."mommy I am going to be extra cuddly and adorable, just to make you feel more guilty." Then she mentally sticks her tongue out at me.......

AP: What a bummer about the armoire! I am so sorry! I know how much you were looking forward to it!

My day is pretty routine. My brother is bringing over his kids so we can have an overdue Xmas gift exchange.

Other than that, nothing much going on.

And went out and did the animals so early I actually startled Racer from sleep and he took off down the pasture in a mad gallop. Came snorting up as soon as I flipped the light in the stall on and brought him fresh hay. It has been raining all night, but this time, I perservered over the Mud Monsters and kept my feet. Swept out the outside pen, put Tover in his run and told him just a few more days before his girlfriend arrives. Fed the cats in the barn and stood there under the eaves listening to the peaceful sounds of cats purring and a horse munching hay.

When Mike got up he took me to breakfast and now I am staring at a house that needs to be cleaned so badly. The rain has stopped, though it is a gray kind of a day right now. Well on to housework- ugh!

I was up early. I figured if I got tired during the day I could take a nap, but was so busy I didn't have time.

I finally went and picked up my hard drive of my computer at my friend's house. I was without it for 2 weeks, even though I had access to my computer at work, on the weekends it's like being cut off from the rest of the world!

Sorry to hear about your armoire Colby. But like you said, it's not the end of the world and you've got a great piece of furniture.

It's nice to be able to stay at home on the weekends and do what I have to do. I've actually started a book which I haven't been able to do in over 2 years. I've also started going yoga and love it. It's very relaxing.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
