As promised here are some pictures of my new hometown!

These are the pics of the beach downtown!

This lake is a 5 minute drive from my house...good for northern pike fishing!

I'm living in Sioux Lookout, it's about 5 hours to the east of Winnipeg and 4.5 hours west of Thunder Bay. It's a beautiful place!

I know EXACTLY where that is, as small and as isolated as it is... an ex -roomate is from there!
That's great! Enjoy!

P.S. Can you find out if they are hiring at the public library?

That makes me sort of homesick. I grew up in the Ottawa Valley (North Renfrew County), and my grandparents lived in Northern Ontario, so we visited a lot, both summer and winter. My mother grew up outside Geraldton, my grandfather ran a hunting and fishing lodge at Longlac, and my grandmother taught school at little towns along the railway line - Nakina, Jellicoe, Macdiarmid and finally in Hornepayne. (That was a big town, there was a road in, and they even paved the road!) So, a bit east of you, but still God's country.

Great pics! What camera do you use? I'm looking around at cameras and have been looking at the pictures of people in forums, since who else to give opinions about cameras than other pet-owners?

IMO, Canada is very underrated when it comes to beauty (the cold seems to overshadow everything). Heck, even I take the beauty for granted and don't notice it half the time! lol

The camera I use for all of the pictures that I post is a Pentax Optio 30 digital camera. It's not my main camera though. The one I love the most is my Nikon SLR. It's a film camera though, I am trying to save up to buy a digital SLR. They take great pictures.
