Me too. And living de facto with my partner Max - we have been together 8 months. My ex-husband and I are good buddies, though. We are still trying to get our acts together to sign our divorce papers with a JP!!

He is now engaged to the girl he had an affair with while he was married to me - bizarre but hey, we weren't happy anyway and we both are now, so I'm not upset about it. It's been nearly two years, anyway.

I would still punch her out if I saw her in the street, though...lol!

Very happily single, and most likely planning on staying that way!

I get restless about once a year and start dating someone, only to find out a few months later that I prefer being single, and break it off. I'm only 27, but I think I'm too set in my ways to be part of a couple, I enjoy my own company and prefer a quiet night in to going out. Maybe if I meet 'Mr Right' I'll change my mind, but I'll be damned if I'm going to date/marry someone just because it's the socially acceptable thing to do.

I also love living on my own! I love being able to come home, change into something comfy and spend an hour playing with the kittens before collapsing on the sofa and watching a bit of crap tv! If I want a takeaway I can have one, and I don't have to worry about cooking if I don't feel like it. Selfish maybe, but happy!

Oh yes I remember those days - ahhhhh I didn't live by myself for long enough after separating from my husband and meeting Max. It was only a year, and now Max and I are living together. I do love him and living with him very much, but there is just something about living on your own that is SO liberating and free!!

you sound like me and my bf, we dont have to go out and do all those "things" we can wear what ever we want when we are home and do our own things. The only difference is that we live together and its nice that some nights we can cook together or just make our own food when we are hungry.
There are no set rules.

Bradley and I are in an LTR (2 years on Aug. 3rd), but hopefully we'll be in the "engaged" category VERY soon!

The problem is meeting someone like that! If we're both at home, how are we ever going to cross paths

I fall into the recently engaged category. Our wedding will be next summer (July 2, 2006).

Brendan and I have been friends for just about 7 years, dating for only 3.5 of those years, and we've lived together for almost 1.5 years!

Brendan and I definitely run on our own schedules as right now he works nights and I work days. We spend a lot of time together, but we definitley have our space and alone time too.

My marital status wasn't in the poll. Technically single, I guess, but still in a committed relationship and no dating allowed! (Kind of goes along with being a nun!

Dating, still dating and then you got it...still dating!

Two years now and the engagement issue is starting to become a tad of a sore subject with me! It seems like it is taking FOREVER and I just don't get it!

anyone feel my pain?

Just coming off the 3rd wedding we've attended in July!!!

That is very unique and very special...you guys must have a great trusting, bonded relationship to keep a relationship that long and to never have met!! Keep us updated if you ever meet!!!!
