I have three kittens, all about 14 weeks old. Two of them have always been very affectionate. The two affectionate ones are male littermates. The third one is the same age, raised in the same foster home, but not a littermate, and female.

In the last 4 days, the kittens seem less affectionate towards us humans, and more interested in chasing and play fighting with each other. They are also becoming more testy by trying to get on countertops etc, where previously they knew from the squirting experience, not to get up on.

Is this a normal stage, and will they get their cuddle bug ways back eventually?

Missing my cuddle bugs.

Thanks

You may not get your "cuddlebugs" back. The kittens are growing up and moving away from the humans in their lives to learn how to become cats. As good as we are of taking care of cat's health issues etc...we can't teach them to be cats they learn it off of others of their own species

They might be a bit wild for while as they are going trough their teenage stage.
But after you get them spayed and neutered hopefully they will become more affectionate again.
