Time for the trolls to crawl out from under the woodwork and wreak havoc on bulletin boards upsetting members and seeing if they can get a rise out of anyone-

What to do with trolls:

Put them on your ignore list right away and send a PM or an email to the moderators.

If we aren't online, we will be as soon as possible and while the trolls are on your ignore list, you won't be exposed to their foolishness-

Every so often we have a few people sign up under horrible names and spam the boards with nasty pictures, ect. These people are called "trolls"
Tonight they were here when no mods were on (they usally wait for a time like that) but I was luckily able to call MA and they were taken care of quickly!

So again, Thanks to MA and all the other Mods for keeping TCS a great place to be

Wow. Do people really have no better use of their time? If only people like that would put their time to something useful, think about how better off the world would be.

I second that! There's only one thing I can think of to do with a troll... and that's to tell 'em to go eat a live goat under a bridge somewhere.

Also, thanks to many who remembered the 'report post' feature. This is quicker and reaches more than any PM.

Click on this symbol in the upper right corner of any offensive post. It immediately dispatches an email to the entire moderating team, and gives you a place to explain why you are reporting the post.

This is also useful for threads in the wrong forum or instances where tempers are not completely under control.

As MA pointed out, please don't 'feed the trolls', i.e. post to them and tell them to 'go away', etc. That simply tells them that they are getting exactly the reaction they came for.

Also, threads imploring for help accomplish the same end. 'Report Post' and 'Ignore' are the best defenses.

Some people really have no life....i am amused sometimes at the extent that some people go to just to get a rise...i pity them!
