Yay! For the first time in YEARS I went and bought new clothes. Hubby gave me a $500 budget for my birthday since most of my *fat* clothes are 10 years old... and yes, unfortunately I've graduated back into them

I got nine shirts, four pairs of pants, three pairs of shoes, two skirts, one bra, one Yankee jar candle, and one Siamese kitten statuette (an unbirthday gift for hubby), all name brand, for less than $300. Did I do good?

So I still need more full length pants (everywhere just had mostly capris out), and some new undies... hubby says it was a one day spree, but I have $200 left!

I'm so happy, I finally got some trendy-casual comfy work clothes

Ooh fun! And happy belated birthday!
My stepdad pitied me last year when my parents visited, they took me on a week long shopping adventure for fat clothes

We took a week only because mom was recovering from having a hip replaced.
Only spent about $300 myself, but got stuff that easily could mix and match to make about 9 different outfits.
All the pants are capris though.

When I gained a lot of weight and I was miserable because I had nothing to wear, my friend gave me the best, most simple advice ever. She told me to go out and buy new clothes that FIT me, instead of being depressed that I couldn't fit into my old clothes!!

I know it seems moronic that I didn't think of this myself, but you know how it is.......

Thanks!

3 of the four pairs of pants I bought are capris, although one is only an inch away from being full length so I think I'll let them out. I'll need more long pants for work once fall hits.

Apparently my new "style" is the faux-layered shirt. I bought three things with faux "button up, collar" shirts sewn in under plain collarless shirts, two have a bit of the "faux shirt" sticking out the bottom.

I hate shopping so much that usually I never try anything on and just grab a size that "looks" like it'll fit. This time I tried everything on but the bra (thankfully it fit when I got home!)... I'm tired of wasting money and having a closet full of stuff I either can't wear or don't look good in!!!

EXACTLY!!!! Knowing I'm still procrastinating about restarting a diet, but that I will eventually, I didn't want to buy a bunch of clothes that I won't be able to wear soon (hopefully!). But I look like crap in most of my old fat clothes, they're just so worn out and some have bleach marks although I don't know where that came from.

I feel so much better knowing I have a bunch of new things that I will look good in at this weight... and if I do lose, I still have all those cute things I bought when I was skinny to look forward to wearing again!!!

Seriously... LOL! One of my favorite pairs of capris that I just bought a few months ago (hence why they're favorites), came up with bleach marks when there was no bleach in the house! Best I can figure is some bathroom cleaner did it while I was cleaning.

I know what you mean... Oh, my steak just pulled in the drive... I won't be getting skinny today either!!!
