Bob Marley is our only indoor-outdoor cat. He spends most of the warm weather months outside but noticed in the last few days that he was staying inside. Behavior changes always cause me to be cautious. Yesterday he skipped dinner and late last night was looking downright lethargic with his third eyelid coming up a little bit. I decided to bring him to the vet this morning but hate doing that with nothing but a "he's acting slower than normal" to report as a symptom.

This morning he looked like he was straining while he was peeing. Not that I was happy about it, but at least it was something to search for. The vet obtained a urine sample and while he found blood in his urine, there is no blockage and no crystals. So we suspect a simple bladder infection.

Just reinforces that ANY behavioral change in your cat needs to be looked at immediately. Don't assume anything - get them to a vet and have it checked out!

Sorry for the lecture, but we sometimes forget about the obvious.
