Finally Home

good grief was last night ever horrible! so i got to the airport to come home in plenty of time. well the plane was over an hour late..wonderfull eh? so we all get on board..and off we go. Land in Las Vegas...and my connecting flight is gone. see ya bye bye. for someone who has never done this flying thing before. that was terrifing! being stuck in a city like vegas..and going OMG OMG...well after about two hours of standing and trying to get this sorted out. they put me up in a hotel room,. and got me on a flight this morning.


HA ONLY I WOULD GET STUCK IN VEGAS..without my fiance, and with no fun money lol.

than my flight today was late taking off..but it was a non stop thank goodness..so i FINALLY am home.

OMG - last year, a very similar situation happened to my hubby trying to go to Reno (where he left his car)! His flight from Detroit was late, & he missed the connection from Las Vegas to Reno! So I had to drive 6 hours to Las Vegas, pick him up & then slept in Beatty, NV. and then up to Reno (another 4 hours) to pick up his truck!!My opinion only, and very unpopular, I might add, but I think that Las Vegas is a big waste of electricity and water... and I am glad that you are finally home safely!!

LOL i didnt get to see much of it. so i cant comment. i am not a gambler though so it does not hold to much interest to me.

I've had that happen to me a couple of times. I was going to visit my sister who lives in Iowa. The plane out of Los Angeles was several hours late in taking off, and my flight was from LAX to Chicago, and then from Chicago to Cedar Rapids Iowa. Due to the fact that my flight out of LAX was late, I missed the connecting flight to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Personally, I loved being put up in a Hotel, and also getting 2 vouchers for free meals. Of course, I love staying in hotels, so it was really cool for me. It made my visit with my sister a bit shorter but like I said, when I can get a free hotel room and free meals, I'm always happy.

OMG That is terrifying!!! That is my worst nightmare flying. Which I fly to Goergia in 13 days. This would be my forth flight and I still get nervous and all paranoid. I'm glad that you are home safe and sound now. I would have been panicking and going nuts, especially on the way home. All you are thinking about is getting to your family.

The free stuff was nice, BUT i missed a day of work which i couldnt afford. and i wasnt home with steve. Oh well i am home now and awaiting him to arrive home from work.

yup i damn near had a panic attack....eek. and it was hot there 104 at 10pm...yeesh.
