I was looking in my cats ear today and noticed they had alot of dark wax. I never see them scratch but we have kittens in the home that does so it makes me think just maybe they all have it. I tried looking in there ears with a flash light but they don't seem to like it. What is the best way to treat it? I have searched the internet but I need a microsope to see them it says. Do cats often get the dark wax and not have ear mites? Also if I do need to use it on my kittens as well as the adult what are you suggestions for both?

If I were you I would take them to the vet to get them checked. A dark waxy substance could also be a yeast infection too. I wouldn't give any meds to the kittens with out at least talking to your vet first.

Thanks,
I am really worried about them. Didn't know they spread to humans
