It's only in the high 80s here, but the humidity makes it much worse! This summer hasn't been too bad so far. I remember last year it got so hot, the highway started to buckle. I am not kidding!

It has been in the upper 80's to low 90's in Michigan for some time now. Next week into the mid 80's for a couple of days then back to 90's. The humidity is brutal and we are in a drought. My county is 6" to 9" under average for rainfall. I'm ready for the mid 70's!
It's 10:00 AM, 77 degrees, but so humid you can't move or breathe. It is supposed to be in the 90's later.
Its 73 degrees currently. Temp to rise to 90 later.
It seems that is is warmers at say 4:00 than noon!!
92-94 on Sunday with heat index 95-100. Its supposed to be humid too.
The humdity hasn't been bad all week and cools to lower 60's at nite so sleeping is ok.
But only 1 inch of rain in the past month and none really in future forecast.
So I'm watering trees, shrubs and flowers. Lawn is going brown and dormant so that's ok.

Going to be in the high 80's today.
Right now (11:07am) we're looking at 86F, high going to be about 90F with afternoon thunderstorms rolling in later. Hopefully they'll be another spectacular lightning show to go along with it!
I'm right next door to you in southern Minnesota and I think the humidity has been especially horrible for the last week or so. The good news is that it should start cooling down Sunday night or Monday when a cold front comes through and brings some rain and the temperatures look like they'll be in the mid to lower 80's with less humidity... at least for the first part of next week anyway.Originally Posted by coaster
Maybe it's not as hot here compared to other places, but compared to what we're used to, it's been brutal. Especially when the humidity is factored in. Worse yet, it's been awfully dry. This has been a summer mostly of postponing outdoors stuff for another day.
It's just after 9:30 p.m., and 24°C (75.2°F). The next few days it's supposed to be around 32° (89.6°), which is a bit hot without air conditioning.
Currently 75f with the high expected to be 103f
It is in the 80's here. very humid , need a good cool breeze
It's so hot that if it weren't for the AC, my cats would shave themselves and take up knitting while barking christmas carols.

It's mid 80's here, but the humidity is brutal. You can't walk outside without your clothes instantly sticking to your body. And it's supposed to rain even more.

What part of California is that in? I live in MOdesto and have come to find out 105 is NORMAL for here! I can't handle it and neither can my babies. INSIDE at 2pm it is now 84! and WORSE is it does NOT cool down!Originally Posted by mferr84

I went out to a hardware store to see about SWAMP Coolers instead of my AC but was told THEY make you sweat and put moisture in your home. THIS guy reccomended a whole house fan but I do not see how it will work when my house is all OPEN and 3 of the main rooms have vaulted ceilings.
Come visit me on the Washington coast. Bring sweatshirts, tee shirts, and a light rain jacket. The weather is just the way I like it.
