Well, time for Tehya's kittens to be weaned... the only problem, two of the four don't want to eat solid or semi-solid food. They absolutely refuse to eat anything but mum's milk, and hunt her down until she will stop and feed them. How can I get them to stop drinking and entice them with the food? Their two sisters are already eating hard kitten food, but these two won't even eat wet food.
Thanks for any advice, it's greatly appreciated!

how old are they? when my kittens needed weaning, i seperated them from their mother....this was mostly because their teeth had come in, and they'd chewed her nippled up so badly that they were red and swollen. (she got mastitis from milk not being able to get out).

I've read that that is the regular way to wean them though. Without mom to chase, they will have no choice but to seek other means of chow, and mom won't do what mine tried to do (headbutt the kittens out of the way, eat all the food, and offer them her red, swollen, and obviously painful nipples).

I would sprinkle some tuna flakes on their food or start with wet chow mixed with kmr. if that didnt work, id put a bit of moist food on top of their paws so they'd lick it off.
