I can't believe someone actually voted "I could never do that to a cat! Besides, kittens are so cute, anyone will take them!" That makes me so sad.

Neither can I. I wonder if it is an honest response or if the person chose that response to get a rise out of everyone.

My oldest female is neutered due to Pyometra, but my youngest female is not neutered since she's my breeding queen to be.

Baylee and Max are both fixed... Baylee when we could and Max came to us that way. If we keep this new kitten, we'll definitely get him fixed when he's old enough to.

I didn't think of that - I really, really hope that you are right and that it's the latter.

all of my kitties are fixed, and one of my dogs. i have one unaltered young male dog and it is a pain in the butt! i will be soooo happy when the time comes for him to have his little operation! my cats all got the snip at 6 months.

All my cats are spayed/neutered. The ones I got as kittens were done between 4-6 months of age.

Maverick is, Jupiter is getting done last week of august, the soonest the vets will do him.

I couldn't imagine leaving my male cat intact. The spraying, the nighttime yowling, and the aggression alone would make me to take him to the vet to get snipped. Then, there's all the health benefits that come from it.

I just had my baby girl spayed today and she is miserable right now. Still doped up and growling at the others, yet she doesn't want to be alone.

Aww give her a kiss from me, Charcoal.

She is still growling at everyone. I hope this stops tomorrow. She is only stressing herself out.

Both my cats are neutered / spayed.
I had Phoebe spayed when she was about 14 weeks old - I was so paranoid that she would go into heat and have kittens (she's an indoor / outdoor cat). Kelvin's previous owner had him neutered.

I wish you had a catagory for people who like to breed cats so we could see that percentage.

My babies are scheduled for surgery in 10 days right at 16 weeks. I feel guilty cause they will be scared but in my mind it is not an option.

My 2, Duke & Cosmo, are 4.5 months old & brother/sister. I have an appt for them Monday but the vet won't "automatically" schedule the neuter/spay until he sees them. They initially told me they were too young and to wait another month, but I assured her Duke's "parts" were very clearly visible LOL so she made the consult appt for us.

I got Lucas when he was 1 yr and 1 month old and he wasn't neutered. Got him on a Friday, Monday he went to the vet to be neutered. Besides, here in VA the law is that when you adopt a pet from the shelter you have to neuter/spay.

All three of our boys are neutered.
Both my boys are nuetered, both were around 16 weeks when it was done. I've always had altered pets so it was a no brainer. They're both domestic short hairs, mutt cats but they are beauties that for sure. But I don't want to add to the unwanted pet population.

That being said, I am considering starting a cattery in the next 5-10 years with British Short Hairs so if and when I do that I will have unaltered pets. I'm currently researching as much as possible so we'll see how it goes. I have a lot of research to do, I like to be fully prepared and educated before I start any venture. By then I will also hopefully have my own house instead of an apartment. We'll see though, I may change my mind between then and now.

all of my kits were adopted as adults, fixed by previous owners. i was in college when i adopted the first 2, so it saved me $$$.

Sophie was already spayed when we got her from the Animal Protective League. Angel was apparently caught in the TNR program before she found us. Her ear is tipped and she is definately spayed. Percy is neutered, although he wasn't too happy about it!
