Katie and Grace were both spayed at six months. Peter had already been neutered when I adopted him. Goes along with being a responsible pet owner.

My YY (Siamese Seal Point) was spayed as soon as my vet would and could do it!! I do have two foster sphinxes who are show cats and thus are not. But if their meomy dies (and please send some good vibes her way so she will live - is in a coma now tho!), under her agreement with me - in her living will - they will be!

April Joy is getting spayed in September. Even though she's an indoor only kitty I'm getting her spayed at 5 months old because there's no guarantee that she won't dart out the door and meet a boy kitty. Plus, I'm doing it for health reasons. I don't want her to get pyometra, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer or mammary cancer. In short, I'm doing it because I love her.

Hmmmmmm...
Try this link, directly to the list of kitties on petfinder:
http://www.petfinder.org/pet.cgi?act...t&preview=true

They have been trying to update their site lately and have been having TONS of issues with it. Hopefully that works and you can see the wonderful kitties I work with! Because they, not the politics, are why I go there!

without breeders having purebreeds there would be no mixed breeds... I fix all my animals cause I am not able to deal with newborns and any possible complications...

Hobbes was neutered at about 5.5 months old. He's no pure bred, just a DSH (domestic short hair), but to me he's the most beautiful cat ever! Love him to bits ~

I can't believe someone actually voted "I could never do that to a cat! Besides, kittens are so cute, anyone will take them!"
That makes me so sad.

Neither can I. I wonder if it is an honest response or if the person chose that response to get a rise out of everyone.

My oldest female is neutered due to Pyometra, but my youngest female is not neutered since she's my breeding queen to be.

Baylee and Max are both fixed... Baylee when we could and Max came to us that way. If we keep this new kitten, we'll definitely get him fixed when he's old enough to.

I didn't think of that - I really, really hope that you are right and that it's the latter.

All my cats are spayed/neutered. The ones I got as kittens were done between 4-6 months of age.

I couldn't imagine leaving my male cat intact. The spraying, the nighttime yowling, and the aggression alone would make me to take him to the vet to get snipped. Then, there's all the health benefits that come from it.

I just had my baby girl spayed today and she is miserable right now. Still doped up and growling at the others, yet she doesn't want to be alone.
