I'll say The Beatles. They've influenced most rock acts today. I love The Beach Boys as well, because I am a California Girl, but I don't think they're in the same league as The Beatles. And The Monkey's aren't even remotely in the same league as The Beach Boys.

While the Monkees were formed specifically for the TV show, they are in fact an actual and excellent band in their own right.

My vote, however, is the Beatles.

I don't like the monkees, the beatles are OK and I love the beach boys so it was an easy vote for me. I'd vote the Beegees over any of them hands down though!!!

I voted for The Beatles, but I would say the most intriguing member of any of those band members would be Brian Wilson, hands down.

The MONKEES?!?!?

Peter Nesmith might be a pretty fair musician, but as a band, I can't envision the Monkees even being listed along with the other two.

I know but I drew a blank on the BeeGees so I had to put another and that's the only one I could think of at the time!

I like Nick Nasal and his Nine Nasty Nose Pickers, especially when they do "I'll Get You Yet, You Booger, You !"

Beatles, no contest. I never can seem to get into surfer music, including the Beach Boys, with the exception of Sloop John B, which is just a really cool tune. Maybe it'd be different if I'd heard them firsthand (I'm in my early thirties), but I doubt it.

Brian Wilson was also an excellent musician, but he went off the deep end for a while, and the Beatles were just plain more innovative. Such a collection of musical talent all together in one band hasn't been seen since , IMO.

Ya, no comparison. The Beatles did more to influence music than any other act around. And they're sounds progressed over time, they weren't locked into a certain genre IMO.

I agree Jenn. Why else would the oh-so-fab Barenaked Ladies write a song about him??
