I dropped Ari off at the neuter scooter clinic (www.neuterscooter.com) for his neuter this morning. He was VERY vocal at having to be in the carrier.

Yes, I'm concerned, but I did opt for the post operative pain shot at the last minute. I have to wait until 4pm before I can pick him up.

It's so nice to be able to type without his "help", but I miss him.

He'll be okay... (=

My littlest guy faked a fever the first time I took him in to be neutered. When I got him to the vet's office they said they couldn't operate oh him because he had a fever. Once I went back to pick him up and got him home, he started playing with his brothers and eating and drinking like nothing happened. I think that having to be in the carrier stresses most cats out. Ari will be just fine.

Ari will be fine, Jan, but it's hell waiting, isn't it!! And they don't make it any easier when they make it so clear how they feel about the whole process!! Keep us posted!

Awww...that's so cute...you missing your help at typing, but not. LOL...

Hobbes is VERY vocal in the car, too...and he's one of those that has a beep for a meow. He hardly ever says anything at home, but once we shut the door of his carrier, he HOWLS!!

It's funny, too, because his sis, Sunny, is VERY vocal at home, but doesn't say a WORD in the carrier. She likes looking out the window, basking in the air conditioning, she'll say a little hello meow to me, but not a single complaint. It's so cute!

Poor kitties...they HATE those dang carriers. I wish they made some that didn't freak them out so much. Maybe like one that has sheepskin for them to lay on, has larger holes with mesh on them (or something less able to be broken by claws) so they can see more. I bet Hobbes would be happier with something more comfortable, and something he could see more out of.

What a loving meowmmy you are!! Bless little Ari, he'll be so glad to get home to you! And what a healthy, happy life he gets to lead, never having to deal with the trials and tribulations of being an unneutered tom

I'm sending good vibes to Ari and his meowmy! When my mom's cat was neutered he recovered really quickly. The first day he seemed a little under the weather, but it was more because of being away from home than because of the surgery. The next day it was like nothing happened. We were worried for nothing. Don't worry. This hurts you a lot more than it does him.

He'e home!!!

We picked him up a little after 4pm and ran a couple of errands. We let him out of the carrier and he snuggled in mom's arms for the ride home.

He ate a little and drank a little and is now on my computer monitor asleep. The neuterscooter staff recommend a source ofheat for post operative discomfort and my monitor fits the bill!
And he is also close to his meowmy Jan.

Thank you all for your encouraging words and I hope Renny's Rambo made it through his okay!
