I think we all know by now that the new pope is a cat-lover but I didn't know just HOW MUCH he loves them
He even has a kitty of his own----named Chico!!! Here's a link to a wonderful article about his love of cats. It's definitely worth a read

I really hope, those Animal lovers throughout Italy are looking to Pope Benedict XVI for changes that will relieve the plight of the country's stray cats, like these that live among the ruins in Rome.
...
....

Cheers!!!

Rigel, Torre de Argentina looks wonderful! I'm considering adopting one of their cats with their "at a distance" program
. I would love to visit Torre de Argentina one day.

Thank you for the link! The animal cruelty laws Italy has on the books are pretty amazing, even if the article said they aren't always enforced. I just love hearing that the Pope loves cats, even though I'm not even Catholic!

Ratzinger is not the Pope's brother, though he (the pope) is known to be a cat lover, and has a brother in the priesthood. Also, Tübingen is not located in Bavaria, but in Baden-Württemberg. I'm disappointed in MSNBC's reporting!
